About This Game

Co-Op Kaiju Horror Cooking is exactly what the name suggests. You and your friends are medieval monks, chefs--and walking liabilities.

In this absurdist online multiplayer horror game, 2-4 of your favorite people (or more, if you want to risk your computers/sanity) must use traps, proximity voice chat, and Gregorian chanting among other tools to feed giant monsters known as 'kaiju', gather treasure, and prevent the apocalypse.

You have 10 minutes.

Don't stay in the Larder.

Don't get caught.

Features

Flexible tag-based cooking system. Chop ingredients, salt them, burn them--and then fire them into a kaiju's jaws!

A story about grappling with your faith as your leaders begin to die off, leaving you to carry the torch, told across 13 levels.

The first-ever multiplayer project from the developers behind Clickolding and I Am Your Beast.

Dramatic medieval soundtrack by award-winning composer David Mason (Dredge, Creepy Redneck Dinosaur Mansion 3).

Run away from monstrous creatures--and when necessary, turn them into food.

No tomatoes, since they were only introduced to Europe in the 16th century.

Could have been a fun game about dodging the undead and turning them into snacks for a kaiju. Ruined by the rats. Rats steal your item if they hit you. They take 3+ hits to kill. The first hit will steal your weapon, leaving you unable to kill them to get it back, and then they'll hit you 4 more times in quick succession and rob you of all your items. Now you have nothing and will die quickly to anything in the area. Oh, and they'll keep following you to mug you of any item you pick up. And they're EVERYWHERE. Every map has 5+ of these little bastards!

Extremely fun concept for a game. While some of the jank is endearing, I feel some QoL improvements wouldn't hurt, like a way to end a level early, and removing the rats (or at least making them less aggressive and easier to kill.) It's very unfair to try and kill a rat, get your weapon stolen, then not be able to do anything anymore.

It's well worth the 8 dollars it costs. Its a little rough (as the cost implies), but the game loop is fun! There's a lot of exciting and funny moments to be had in multiplayer.

Games a lot of fun, nothing better then running around clubbing my friends to death with a rolling pin. Rats are my new number one enemies, still followed by dogs. It's silly and fun, and the more I played the more I started to see there is a story under all of it. By mid chapter 2 my friend and I where honestly interested in what was going on. Trying to optimize how we did things to push a little further to uncover the story. 100% recommended, it's a good time.
