D.O.T. Defence

I have been playing this game since day 1 and its a lot of fun, now i cant speak on the campaign i haven't gotten to that yet however whenever my buddies come by anymore they want to all play DOT DEFENCE! even my girlfriend got a win against all of us its not super complicated to get into but has a good depth of trying to see what play style works for you and while i really hope they make a map editor for local play so i can make some wild designs they have done really well with all the maps released so far all in all for a guy who still plays warhammer dawn of war when hes bored this scratches my RTS itch and lets me get my buddies into it who never played these style of games would recommend 8/10 cant wait to see what else they release for the game

For those with a short attention span: 6/10 slightly above average. For those capable of breathing, reading and having a tiny amount of patience: DOT Defence is a goofy, meme worthy somewhat hands off RTS game. The general game play loop is this - You place your headquarters building then decide based on what 4 structures you've decided to take with you from your load out in the lobby (if you're playing Skirmish / Multiplayer), then place how ever many buildings you can. There are two types of building - Defense and Production. Defense buildings are towers of various types (Artillery cannons with long range Area Of Effect explosive shells, Machine Gun towers which have decent range and are lethal to infantry while still being very capable against most other units, Flamethrower towers which have a much shorter range but deal large quantities of damage and can hide themselves when not in use, etc). Fun sound effects and visuals. Shines with local multi, but campaign has a couple good missions that are finished too.

chromo mission was quite hard for me, don't know if it was just me or the mission itself. I know now train yard had a bug problem for starting the wave, my fault on that. Lesson learned, not all Early Access games are extremely buggy. There's no real way of knowing if a game isn't unplayable through demo or even Youtube. I would recommend buying at caution, if you do experience a bug. I would atleast recommend bringing it up in discussion before refunding the game, don't make the mistake I made. I did come off quite harsh and unfair on the review. The only con I got is, the game is semi difficult even on easier difficulties. But it could just be me. So it's a 50/50
