Hard game. Very hard game (at least for me). A game loop that is quite a challenge. It might be a little bit frustrating having to start from the very start again each time you die, but that's part of the fun. I can recommend it because the game is good. I'm not good at it, but it is fun.

About This Game
The Gungeon: Enter the Gungeon – a constantly evolving bullet hell fortress that elegantly blends meticulously hand-designed rooms within a procedurally-generated labyrinth bent on destroying all that enter its walls. But beware – the Gungeon responds to even the most modest victory against its sentries and traps by raising the stakes and the challenges found within!
The Cult of the Gundead: The Gungeon isn’t just traps and chasms – calm your nerves and steady your aim as you face down the gun-totting Cult of the Gundead. These disciples of the gun will stop at nothing to put down the heroes in their tracks and employ any tactics necessary to defend their temple.
The Gungeoneers: Choose between one of several unlikely heroes, each burdened by a deep regret and in search of a way to change their past, no matter the cost. Filled with equal parts courage and desperation, these adventurers won’t hesitate to dive across flaming walls, roll through a wall of bullets, or take cover behind whatever is around to make it to their goal alive!
The Guns: Discover and unlock scores of uniquely fantastic guns to annihilate all that oppose you in the Gungeon – each carrying their own unique tactics and ammunition. Unleash everything from the tried and true medley of missiles, lasers, and cannonballs to the bizarrely effective volley of rainbows, fish, foam darts, and bees! Yep, bees.

The Enter the Gungeon: Collector's Edition includes the game, the soundtrack, the digital comic, and an instant unlock of the Microtransaction Gun. Owners of the base game can upgrade to the Collector's Edition for the difference in price.

i dont get why this game is so hard i beat exit the gungeon like it was a joke but this ive only made it to the end once im just getting passed the 3rd floor this is a great game i wanted a challenge i sure as hell got 1 im going be playing for next 100 hours at least
I bought this game expecting it to be a mild roguelite indie bullethell, mind you, it's the first bullethell i've ever played. Turns out it is a brutally mechanically difficult roguelite indie bullethell, more comparable in difficulty to a soulslike than any other roguelite indie i've ever played. As you can see on my profile that fact did not turn me away, i really enjoy difficult games and i was positively surprised by the sheer amount of content and polish i'd found. The good bits:

the gameplay is mechanically sharp and polished, there are almost no sluggish movements or input delays apart from certain items
the enemies are extremely well designed, appearance and mechanically-wise
the soulslite aspect of the game felt well paced
the NPCs are lovely and likeable (love talking to the yellow alien)
The bad bits:

there is one attack from the common enemy "Gundead Storyteller" that has no telltale and leaves no time for reaction a...
I have gotten almost none of these acheivments, there is a fatass gamer in my house getting them for me. No I am not joking. It showed up and just started doing this.
> opens up game > very cool lore video > skips video since ive seen it > EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENTER THE GUUNGEON
I recently got my Steam Deck about a week ago, and one of the first games I tried on it was Enter the Gungeon. I have to say, it runs flawlessly on the Steam Deck — smooth performance, great controls, and it looks fantastic on the handheld screen. This is actually my first roguelike game, and I’m absolutely hooked. The mix of fast-paced action, quirky humor, and endless replayability makes it incredibly addictive. Every run feels different, and even when I fail, I’m excited to jump back in and try again. If you’re looking for a game that works perfectly on the Steam Deck and keeps you coming back for “just one more run,” Enter the Gungeon is a must-play.
A nice action-packed game that encourages skill, caution and mastery. If you're TBoI fan then look no further. The sequel was kind of a downgrade, but this game - pure gold.
i bought this game a year ago, sucked at it, put it down, picked it back up, and put 100 hours in to get the ending. this game is goated. gungeon 2 we will be seated.
not really sure what people see in this game but my experience wasnt fun -weapon pick ups suuuuck like I dont expect to pick up the bfg each round but getting a literal pea shooter on the regular is just annoying. -loot is mediocre with buffs either being very rare or completely absent -map layout is tedious and dull -A good chunk of weapons dont feel satisfying to use either -boss health is quite big like i get its a bullet hell but I am not playing capcoms 1944 and the movement isnt great for bullethell gameplay either
to play this game you need like 80% skill and 20% luck. everything else is must be unlocked first (by completnig challenges that need skill) and to the moment you get good items it not fun to play anymore because if you can dodge every bullet there is no need for a good weapon. the game progression is hard
