About the Game

Story

18th century, North America. Amidst the chaos and violence of the French and Indian War, Shay Patrick Cormac, a fearless young member of the Brotherhood of Assassin’s, undergoes a dark transformation that will forever shape the future of the American colonies. After a dangerous mission gone tragically wrong, Shay turns his back on the Assassins who, in response, attempt to end his life. Cast aside by those he once called brothers, Shay sets out on a mission to wipe out all who turned against him and ultimately become the most feared Assassin hunter in history.

Introducing Assassin’s Creed® Rogue, the darkest chapter in the Assassin’s Creed franchise yet. As Shay, you will experience the slow transformation from Assassin to Assassin Hunter. Follow your own creed and set off on an extraordinary journey through New York City, the wild river valley, and far away to the icy cold waters of the North Atlantic in pursuit of your ultimate goal - bringing down the Assassins for good.

Key Features

  • Become the Ultimate Assassin Hunter - For the first time ever, experience the Assassin’s Creed universe from the perspective of a Templar. Play as Shay, who, in addition to the deadly skills of a Master Assassin, also possesses never before seen skills and weapons:
o Equip Shay’s deadly air rifle for both short and long range combat. Distract, eliminate, or confuse your enemies by using a variety of ammunition, including specialized bullets and grenades
o Protect yourself from hidden Assassins with your enhanced eagle vision. Constantly assess your surroundings and detect Assassins hiding in the shadows, on rooftops, and in the crowds

  • Slowly Descend into Darkness - Witness Shay’s transformation from an adventurous Assassin to a grim and committed Templar willing to hunt down his former brothers. Experience first-hand the events that will lead Shay down a dark path and set him on a course that will forever change the fate of the Assassin Brotherhood.

  • New and Improved Naval Gameplay - Cast off in your ship, The Morrigan, and fight your way through the icy seas of the North Atlantic and the narrow waters of America’s river valleys. Assassin’s Creed® Rogue builds on the award winning naval experience from Assassin’s Creed® IV Black Flag™ with all new gameplay including:
o New enemy tactics: Defend yourself from Assassins as they attempt to board your ship and overthrow your crew. Fight them off quickly to avoid losing too many crew members.
o New weapons: Including burning oil, which leaves a trail of fire behind to burn enemy ships, and the puckle gun, capable of delivering continuous machine-gun-like fire.
o An arctic world full of possibilities: Ram through ice sheets to discover hidden locations and use icebergs as cover during naval battles.

  • Vast Diverse Open World to Explore - Shay’s story will allow you to explore three unique environments:
o The North Atlantic Ocean Experience the cold winds and towering icebergs of the arctic in this expansive naval playground
o The River Valley A large hybrid setting of the American Frontier mixing seamless river navigation and ground exploration
o New York City One of the most well-known cities in the world, fully recreated as it existed in the 18th century.

Even though Assassin’s Creed Rogue often gets less attention than Black Flag, I personally connected with it much more. Its darker and different story hooked me; Shay Patrick Cormac leaves the Assassins and joins the Templars. That shift in perspective and heavier tone make it a unique and worthwhile experience. ---{ Graphics }--- ☐ You forget what reality is ☑️ Beautiful ☐ Good ☐ Decent ☐ Bad ☐ Don‘t look too long at it ☐ MS-DOS ---{ Gameplay }--- ☐ Very good ☑️ Good ☐ It's just gameplay ☐ Mehh.. ☐ Watch paint dry instead ☐ Just don't ---{ Audio }--- ☐ Eargasm ☑️ Very good ☐ Good ☐ Not too bad ☐ Bad ☐ I'm now deaf ---{ Audience }--- ☐ Kids ☑️ Teens ☑️ Adults ☐ Grandma ---{ PC Requirements }--- ☐ Check if you can run paint ☐ Potato ☑️ Decent ☐ Fast ☐ Rich boi ☐ Ask NASA if they have a spare computer ---{ Game Size }--- ☐ Floppy Disk ☐ Old Fashioned ☑️ Workable ☐ Big ☐ Will eat 10% of your 1TB ha...

Overall, a solid entry in the AC series. Has the framework of Black Flag but with a more interesting story and premise. The movement is a bit jank and dated as you can get stuck in the terrain quite easily, but it can be overlooked for the enjoyable naval combat that makes it a blast to play at its peak.

A good bridge between Assassin’s Creed III and IV. Has a cool unique twist where you play as a Templar. A solid 7/10 with some great ideas, but overshadowed and held back by being made for ps3/360. Noticeably poor graphics compared to AC4 and the AC3 Remaster. This game deserves a proper remaster like AC3 got.

I remember playing a handful of missions back in the day; I also remember I quickly lost interest and didn’t finish any of it. The game is a bridge between AC4 and AC3. It features characters from both, with a primary focus on those from AC3. The protagonist Shay is quite a step down from Edward Kenway- he lacks discipline but not in a way that ever feels fun, and the plot is constructed in such a way that it’s entirely based around a misunderstanding that nobody ever directly addresses or converses about. The creed of the assassins is literally an emphasis on free will and critical thinking, and a rejection of blind obedience to authority. The overall setup necessitates that the Assassins are acting in such a way that violates their own creed (which, maybe is the point, but they do a terrible job of pointing that out if so.) As a result of the central premise so many great character moments are wasted, and even deaths of characters we know well feel cheap and emp...

It’s a solid game. Typical Ubisoft formula—rinse and repeat—but it works. Feels similar to Black Flag, though the storyline is much stronger this time around.

From Pirate Bay to Uplay — Worth Every Penny 🗡️⚓ I’ll be honest — my first run through Assassin’s Creed Rogue wasn’t exactly “official.” I played it cracked years ago when I was broke and curious. But after completing it that way, I knew this was one of those rare games I had to own for real. Just bought it again on Steam, and it still hits just as hard. Shay Cormac’s story is underrated in the AC series — morally grey, full of betrayal, and told from a perspective we rarely get to see. Sailing feels smooth, naval battles are thrilling, and the transition from Assassin to Templar keeps you hooked. The snowy North Atlantic and icy waters are gorgeous, and the soundtrack still gives me goosebumps. This game might not be as hyped as Black Flag or Ezio’s saga, but it has its own soul. If you’ve ever been on the fence, play it — officially this time. Shay deserves it. Rating: 9/10 — Would betray the Brotherhood again.

bought this game from Steam Support, and after it finished downloading, it asked me to create a Ubisoft Connect account. So I did—but now it’s still asking for an activation key to play the game?! Someone help me out, please!
