About This Game

CAPTURED is an analog horror game where you capture anomalies on camera to escape what seems to be an endless hallway in your own home. Investigate mysterious phenomena, survive frightening entities, and reach the end of the hallway!

Explore a procedural generated endless hallway filled with unusual phenomena and ever-changing rooms. Caught in a never-ending loop, leaving the house only leads you right back into the same hallway. Plunged in complete darkness, room after room, your once-familiar home feels increasingly alien.

Break the loop by exercising your memory skills. Use your camera to zoom in on suspicious changes and select their anomaly type. Missing or incorrectly identifying any unusual phenomena within a loop will wipe your camera's memory. Correctly capture 13 anomalies to escape.

Watch out for unwanted company. While silence may be a good tactic, staying too long within a loop could give away your location. Use your flashlight, camera, and the doors strategically to survive each entity's unique mechanics.

Using a custom movement experience, step into a nostalgic late '90s aesthetic with realistic graphics, minimal UI, and a chilling atmosphere.

Ok, normally I dismiss horror games that are A: Less than like $15 because they're often janky, and B: Have the "spot the anomaly" play loop because it's everywhere now. But this game? This game is amazing. It's essentially "Skinamarink" the game, right down to the windows disappearing, no lights, and a very scary whispering voice. If you've seen that movie, you'll know what I'm talking about. If not? It's a legit great horror game. It's not often I find a game this good for $6 not on super sale. It's anomaly finding done right. It's also surprisingly polished. My one wish is that it had Gamepad support but I can make due with a KBM easily enough. Highly recommended if you're a horror fan and need something for the upcoming Halloween season.

Very good anomaly hunt that takes the best from several games. As good, but different feel, compared to ex. "Ten Bells". Strong recommendation for casual players, couples, horror fans, and so on. It is very pretty, fun, and the devs crafted the horror extremely well, masterfully really. For example: I'm barely able, from terror, just to navigate the kitchen in the game. The suspense of the many dark corners, and your lamp playing tricks with the shadows is more than enough to make me inch passed it, looking at my feet, facing the wall. A proper jump scare, damn, even a "friendly hello" in there would make me shit so hard my pants would come flying off. Go see for yourself, it's the absolute worst. -- Explore your home, transformed into a prison. Find and categorize anomalies in an endless loop until you have enough to break the cycle and - leave? Careful, investigations drain battery from your camera, and its light, your only light, no matter if your investigations are correct ...

The best anomaly game I've seen so far! I loved the movie Skinamarink, and this game does an amazing job of embodying the movie into a playable and even scarier gameplay experience! The atmosphere and everything is so terrifying that I didn't even hesitate to shut it off right after I finished the normal difficulty. I would love to play more but I'll stick to YouTube for now and watch instead of playing. Incredible job, loved it!
