About This Game

Admiral John Byng who spent his life sailing the seas for the British Navy, died in 1757, by bullets on the deck of HMS Monarch. Admiral Horatio Nelson, carrying on with the utmost duty, fell similarly to a French musket shot in 1805.
Now it is YOUR turn to sail the seas of the Age of Sail.
But it would be wise to approach the subject cautiously: practice, improve your skill and your ship and connections with allies. Then you can commandeer best vessels: crush your enemies, see them driven before you and hear lamentations of their women in global chat.
.......................................................................................................................................................
Naval Action is a hardcore, realistic, and beautifully detailed naval combat game immersing players into the experience of the most beautiful period of naval history - when sailing ships ruled the seas.
Age of sail combat is a personal affair with no dirty tricks, corner camping, or hiding in bushes: you see the enemy from 20km and so do they. Just like in boxing you have to get close; and use all your tactical knowledge of wind, your ship to slug it out face to face. Broadside weight matters, but even a smaller vessel can overcome the superior enemy by focusing on the enemy weak spots.
No game has come closer to the replication of the Age of Sail sailing mechanics and combat. Thats why Naval action was named one best releases from early access in 2019 by Valve!
Here is what you can expect:
Beautiful ships – We have been painstakingly recreating the beautiful ships of the Age of sail period. Accurate hull models, sail plans, guns, internal upgrades, historical speed trials were used in the creation of vessels. The game features 50+ ships from small cutters to large 100+ gun 1st rates allowing the player to experience every possible role of that era.

Features
Realistic sailing – Advanced wind and physics model provides for realistic portrayal of ship’s performance in the age of sail. Yard angles, ship angle to wind, fittings and ship condition affects speeds and turning rates. Correct tacking, boxhauling, clubhauling and other elements of realistic sailing will help you win battles in most adverse conditions.
Conquest and PVP Activities Fight for the domination of the West Indies, recreated based on 18th Century maps and navigational charts. Build ships, trade, attack enemies of your nation almost everywhere and capture their ships. Open trading outposts and levy taxes in the ports governed by your clan.
Damage model – Every cannonball is tracked in the air and after it hits the target. Leaks, structural damage, torn sails, demasting, raking, fires, explosions and all other hazards that were possible in that era. Damage is positional: hit the gun and you might destroy it. Gunnery crews are placed deck by deck. Shot can pass through the balcony, ricochet of the gun, hit a crew member and then fly out of the gunport splashing into the water. Armor thickness and wood types affect strength of the hull and cannonballs will ricochet from the hulls at extreme angles.
Built for PVP: Absolutely no hackers.
Hacking is a killer of fun in PVP games. From the start we have built the tech around one main goal - complete elimination of hacking from PVP. Naval Action is one of the few games where hacking is made impossible by design. Every battle action is calculated on the servers, even water and wave shapes. Yes - you have heard it right: there is a special server that calculates and replicates waves to all users in battle. When fighting in Naval action you can be sure you are only facing skills and ship fittings.
Gunnery and weapons – Major types of naval artillery are implemented: from long guns to mortars to carronades and obusiers. Fort and land batteries will provide you with support during battles near shores. Mortar vessels can destroy fortifications, though they may require an escort.

Each gun has realistic ballistics and penetration performance based on historical gun charts and admiralty tests. Heel and wind affect the shooting distance and will require a change in tactics.
Thank you, Captains for Attention

I want a game, Not a job. This game used to be fun when i started playing it. There was a definete grind, but it was rewarding and managable grind. With the recent economy changes and new ammo mechanics, you have to grind for hours to get enough supplies for ONE naval battle. For a game that is excusively played for naval combat, the amount of time you actually get to do that, is a joke.
AS speaker in the official discord treats his paying customers like their nothing, say a wrong word an hell remove you from the official discord even if its a legit question to situation i game, they are slowly killing their own playerbase... by acting like this. love the game but the devs ruin this for most of us.
Time to shut down the server if the game is so hard to grind. People spend time to relax, not to work for another shift, if you want to make sim game, just make it single player, so people can manage their own time. But in a multiplayer game that developers force every resource to be grind and so hard to obtain? I did say, if you guys like to kill the game, shut the server now. I once hoped for this game and bought every single DLC ship; now I just hope the game end soon.
Years ago it was probably one of the best age of sail games but over the years it has turned into absolute garbage.
Devs chose to wipe all players progress ahead of their update aimed at killing off what was left of the player base and stunting any progress the survivors tried to make. This wipe included the PVE/Peace server, years of grinding undone on a whim, not even Gaijin would stoop so low.
Returned after 3-5 year break. The starting grind was to tiring for me. After ~3 hours I was still driving trading missions just to get enough money to get a ship and fit it out. I dont even have a Port slot to store a single ship and the crafting for the new gunpoder seems to complex for the basic 3 Warehouse slots you start with. When I wanted to get at least a bit of combat though the tutorial the battle was timed to 10 Minutes and the enemy was constantly turning like a dancer making it to frustrating getting about 1-2 good salvos from killing him just for the strict timer to run out and closing the match... I heared the devs are trying to improve things for years but instead made things more grindy. In my opinion the balance espacially for new playes, (wich this game would need) between grind and actual gameplay/fun is out of wack. EDIT:The Slot problem I have with Shipslots in Port and the number of Warehouse slots can be mitigated by farming AI Ships as I learned today. Tak...
This game forces you to trade for literal days before you can battle only to show you that the combat has a steep learning curve and sink all your hard earned stuff in about 10 minutes. what a absolute **** show of a game this has become having to buy ammo to fight one battle to ultimately lose and start fresh grinding boring *** trading quest for two peso's and a go **** yourself, because you aren't allowed to have fun in Naval ACTION. It worked fine a year ago when i played and had a blast now its a boring grind fest with nothing to do from port to port. Can't shoot, Cant fight, only grind... Don't waste your time and play something else seriously
Power tripping Developer has officially ruined the game. Do not fall for this game. The grind is ridiculous and makes you buy DLC. Game is in the worst state it has ever been
The game had huge potential. Devs never delivered. Gameplay is way to tedious. UI is garbage Economy is Fu*ked New player get fu*ked over constantly.
