Avoid this rot! The game is underdeveloped and abandoned. You can't buy a church, be a priest, the only thing you get is 2 separate preacher buildings that have no upgrade. Everything looks like this. This is wrong! If you want the real The Guild then buy TG2 Renaissance.

Fun at first but no new updates because they are making another version of the game: The Guild - Europa 1410 so don't buy this one

So imagine playing the guild 2 but its got better graphics and a more confusing UI and its kinda clunky AF. That's the Guild 3. Nothing new here. Same game with a better graphics pack and honestly, its a really niche thing. If you don't like guild 2, don't bother. Don't buy this at full price. I got it for 8 bucks. That's all its worth. I say this as a fan.

So I got this game from The Guild 2 bundle. My interest was due to the recent announcement of The Guild Europa 1410. I tried The Guild 2 Renaissance and The Guild 3 to compare. And never in my life that I would uninstall a game after 5 minutes inside tutorial. The Guild 2 renaissance is this the go to game for this title. Avoid The Guild 3 like a plague! NOT WORTH!

Bought years ago, the game has never reached a playable advertised state and is now abandoned. Last game update was in 2023.
Review: The Guild 3

Playtime: ~40 hours
I really tried to like this game. Over the past few months, I’ve given it several chances, but it just never clicked for me. For context: I haven’t played the previous titles, so I can’t compare – I’m judging this game on its own. The problem is that it feels unfinished. The last meaningful update was years ago, and the gameplay loop quickly becomes dull. You assign your character (and others) a daily routine with tasks, speed up time, and then just watch things happen. Most of the time, I found myself doing chores around the house or going to the gym while the game ran in the background. Coming back later, I didn’t feel progress – just that I had wasted electricity. Maybe I’m missing something, but I simply don’t see the point. Nothing feels impactful or rewarding. The world doesn’t pull me in, and the mechanics lack depth. I even read that a Guild 4 is in development, which honestly confuses me, because ...

I bought this game on sale at 7.99, and honestly, that's where the value is for this unfinished game. Regardless of the dev drama behind the scenes, the game that's here really is a buggy mess with surface level gameplay. There's plenty of good ideas mixed in, especially at the games start, but it eventually all falls apart as you make it through the mid game. Yes, it's fun to rp a lived-in medieval experience, whether that be as a farmer, thief, blacksmith, etc. But the execution, the gameplay, and the UI that facilitates that is very wonky. One limiting factor too is how the economy is handled, which then impacts every level of the gameplay. The cities are divided into specific markets sectioned off and indicated by different colored highlighted roads. Which implies that whatever means of production produced in these areas have a drastic impact on the economy. The truth is, it's negligible. Often times you’ll find competing dynasties sharing markets with you doing the same produ...
