This is the fastest I have ever experienced a substantial and satisfying meta game. It took me hundreds of hours in Street Fighter and The King Of Fighters to feel like I was playing with real purpose in either of them. This game just gets you right in. No bullshit. This is what fighting games are all about.

Are you feeling exhausted by any of the following features seen in modern fighting games? - Screen covering visual effects - Several mid-fight cutscenes per round - Comeback mechanics - Offense focused tuning If so, this game will be like a breath of fresh air for you! The presentation is a mixed bag, and the sound design is whack, but the gameplay is unparalleled if you just want a clean, pure 3d fighting experience. The player count is fairly low but not dead, and the netcode is great so I'd advise setting search settings to 'worldwide' as i've played matches with 200+ ping and felt that it was totally acceptable experience. At the low ranks I've only rarely ran into the same player twice so far, and usually don't have to wait more than a minute for the next match. Another thing I should mention is that the content is very sparse, but this will hopefully be addressed by the upcoming 'World Stage' update in October.

Virtua Fighter 5 REVO ------------------------------------ truly a classic in the world of 3D fighters. It brings back that technical depth the series is known for while still being welcoming to new players. The roster is diverse with fighters that all feel unique, and the combat rewards both patience and skill. Every match feels like a chess game where timing and precision matter just as much as speed and reflexes. The visuals might show their age a little, but the animations are fluid and make every move feel impactful. Controls are tight and responsive, giving you full confidence in your inputs. It’s the kind of game where you can spend hours just practicing one character and still feel like there’s more to learn. I can’t wait for the update to see what gets refined and what new things will be added. Virtua Fighter 5 REVO proves once again why this franchise stands at the top of competitive fighting games. It is absolutly worth revisiting and mastering. Enjoy the game

worth it, if you're interested in seeing the original release of VF5 Ultimate showdown from the ps4. my main issues stem from the fact that there is a lack of single-player content, but as announced, there is a new version coming October. overall, i find this to be a neat throwback, with an acceptable price tag for what it is. just a heads-up: the audio you'll hear from characters and the announcer are from back when it was originally released on the ps3 (VF5 vanilla Disc). that's why audio may sound crunchy or "bad". could be even older? i don't know, but they're crunchy.

Incredibly deep and polished game. Ring outs are so much fun. It's easy to learn the basics of any character, but incredibly hard to master them.
