I don't like writing negative reviews. Games are a form of art, and tastes vary widely. I also understand how much time, effort, and skill it takes to create a video game. Let's start with the positives. The game boasts stunning pixel art and an absolutely fantastic, ambient soundtrack. The DLC with the music is definitely worth picking up. Unfortunately, in my opinion, this title doesn't come close to being a successor to Another World, my favorite game, or even a comparable one. Another World was a true cinematic platformer - each screen felt fresh, surprising, and immersive, like watching a film unfold. The Way, on the other hand, falls short with poor animations, a weak story, clunky controls, and frustrating puzzles and obstacles. It never managed to pull me in, instead, it felt like a constant source of irritation. I just wanted to rush through and be done with it.
