I absolutely adore this game. I had played the demo and fell in love instantly. Then I bought the game and got frustrated as there is no hand holding after the initial basic instructions. After a few days I picked it up again and took my time to figure our how to optimise rails and not go into debt. This has been my experience with the game: 1. Setting up optimal rails, switches, traffic lights, fuel depots to ensure no gridlock. 2. As supply and demand changes, you go back to #1. 3. Then the game trolls you and secretly changes a switch (I promise that's what happened!), which causes a gridlock, you go back to #1. 4. Suddenly one of your supply stations stops working, because you had built a rail that wasn't allowed (but why?), you go back to #1 5. It's 1.30 am and you should really go to bed, but you quickly go back to #1. There are some small QoL changes that I would love to see: 1. Option to click on a switch or traffic light when a train is passing over it. Maybe a shift click...

About This Game
Welcome to Super Loco World! As the freshly-minted transport tycoon around these parts, you’ll need to build up a rail network, manage train traffic, and keep the goods flowing to meet the growing demands of an ever-evolving world!
Embrace automation🚦
Your trains need more than just a route from you! Control their speeds carefully, manage rail junctions, and eventually automate the process using some very handy rail signals, including:
Signposts to direct trains carrying different goods in different directions.
Logic-based stop signs to help you manage congested areas.
Traffic lights to control the flow of trains into stations.
Effortless building 🚧
Forget about the fiddly side of crafting complex railroad systems in other train tycoon games. Instead, use your cursor like a painter’s brush and let the game automatically figure out T-junctions, bridges, or even curved rails!
Realistic train behaviour 🚂
Build your depot to create new trains, and bring them back whenever you want to add or remove carriages. Just watch out for traffic jams along the way, as each train's fuel supply is as precious as its cargo. Keep this in mind when designing your railway network. The greater the distance between points of interest, the higher your fuel bills!
A dynamic economy 📉
Every game world and its resources are randomly generated, giving you a fresh experience with every new run. Once a village’s basic needs have been met, you’ll need to expand your rail network to meet their increasing demands. As the number of trains in your fleet and the amount of resources you are gathering increases the balancing act between profit and loss becomes more challenging. Remember, the first thing you learn in train tycoon school is that revenue minus costs must equal profit!
Super Loco World's relaxing pace, soothing music and effortless construction belie an in-game economy that will test even the shrewdest businessperson and automation savvy industrialist.

Mid game. Cute graphics, but obviously didn't get play tested, and can't seem to figure out what type of train game it wants to be. There are no "islands" as implied by the trailer. New goods and stations are locked up by quests. Reworking trains and tracks is a headache. So many better titles on Steam.
This game demonstrates why most train games have an auto-reverse mechanism. Meaning, the train will automatically turn itself around when you hit a dead-end. Without it, its an exercise in frustration and logistics. It leads into needing to micromanage switches and junctions to make sure each train ends up turning in the correct direction. Suddenly this cozy game feels less cozy than something like Rail Grade or Transport Fever. Can't recommend this as it is, maybe we will see more QOL upgrades that should have been obvious to include from the beginning.
poor directions in the tutorial for a newbie
I recommend this for automation puzzle enthusiasts who don't mind that you can pretty much finish it in 8 hours. Cosy? The fact that the game operates continuously in Ironman mode and that some mistakes are hard to predict and understand makes it a paradoxically stressful experience at times. The joy is in understanding the command logic that can be programmed into various elements, and using those so that your trains go to the right places. The challenge/difficulty is in managing congestion, which can bring things to a complete halt if you have too many trains trying to be in the same place at the same time.
I was looking forward to this but it seems there are keyboard keys to use but they are not provided, not even in the options or a tutorial popup. After 50 minutes I have created a new train with only an engine, can't stop it or delete it. For light casual game, I would expect more hand-holding at the beginning. I think T did something (add track?) but who knows. I ended up with a train with only an engine that I had no idea how to delete, rolling in circles around a track that I could not stop. It's a shame because what is there looks good, and I didn't hit any bugs as far as I could tell; I was just completely lost and had to give up while I could still get a refund.
My review is a "no", but it is actually kind of mixed. The game is very relaxing and managing the trains is very fun. I really like the mechanics intended to manage traffic However, at the current stage the game is too short and it lacks some essentials like tunnels and bridges. Moreover, the quests are kind of unbalanced and too similar. The potential is nice. If they keep up with the updates, it will surely become a positive review.
This is a serviceable logistic game that lacks some quality-of-life features (which could be seen as an intentional layer of difficulty). I would only recommend this game for those who have already tried a number of other automation games and are looking for a new coat of paint. Everything you'd likely want is here; tracks can be laid down and picked up pretty quickly, everything looks great, feels seamless, progression is logical, if not fast to start, and there are some headscratchers in the mid-game that really get your gears turning. Unfortunately, there are no loans or on-the-spot train deletion, which did gum up my production on more than one occasion. More than once, it led to at least half an hour of trying to figure out how to get all my trains to a single depot, and resulted in at least one major reset when my account wound up in the -$100,000 range. Super Loco World doesn't really offer much in the way of innovative mechanics, but it does provide added difficulty. Due to ...
Calming, deeply enjoyable if simple game. Cash flow is an issue still; expansion is often difficult to gauge cost of, and most runs will end after a debt spiral while you're tabbed out, because one of the many traffic signs on your map is programmed incorrectly. Best enjoyed when you treat it like models, take your time, and don't push through the upgrades/levels. A bit content light at time of writing. A sandbox mode would take this game a long way.
Way too many glitches and bad designs to call it "cozy". Why can't I call two trains the same name? Would have been the easiest way tto assign two trains to tthe same route. Why can't I edit the rules of a crossing when a train is passing through it? Just apply the rules to the next train. I was unable to untangle the knot because of that, had to nuke the whole area to manually pull the trains apart. Everywhere in the game everything is made intentionally awkward and inconvenient to control. This is NOT how you make the game "challenging".
