STORY

Tulip Prison—a special penitentiary filled with criminals from all over Japan who have been deemed too far gone to rehabilitate. As the “phantom precinct” of the justice system, its facilities occupy an inescapable island that stands alone on the open sea.

Shuichiro Minato—a young man who lives in Tokyo. Amid the Christmas lighting one beautiful winter night, he was arrested as a public nuisance.

Shuichiro defended himself in court, describing his acts as self-expression—art—but no one could understand him. He was sentenced to ten years of penal servitude for being a pest and resisting arrest. What's more, he was deemed too far gone to rehabilitate... and thrown into Tulip Prison. In a modern-day dungeon with monsters in human skin around every corner, can one brave annoyance survive?

Whatever the future holds, one thing is for sure: This prison ain't no paradise.

CHARACTERS

Prisoner #0545: HANAMARU (Voice: Haru Amachi)
A self-possessed woman who treats Shuichiro kindly and becomes the first person he opens up to. She offers him generous advice on the best ways to survive in the prison’s harsh environment. Her nickname is “Cultmaster.”
“My little sister and I were just pulling a prank...”

Prisoner #0721: KUREBAYASHI (Voice: Hajime Fumizuki)
On the outside, she earned the nickname “Drone Girl” for her dealings with secret recordings—in Tulip Prison, she’s just another prisoner. She prefers to be alone and makes sure she’ll get to stay that way by driving people away with her sharp-tongued hostility.
“I do not like owing people favors. It would be no exaggeration to say I actually hate it.”

One of the best things I've ever seen, a simple and touching story with original characters, and at the same time with a good comedy that doesnt overshadow the serious moments. Shuichiro my goat. Big thanks bro

One can so easily and unfairly judge this as merely another shit-tier game that's merely exists to titillate the reader with erotic scenes, but what's been offered here is a chock-full of very distinct characters with their exploits, and their pursuit of their happiness. Sure there are no player agency here, it's a kinetic visual novel, but one can just strap in and enjoy the roller coaster ride of emotions with the fantastic cast and their voice acting. Though it's unfortunate that the concept of Deus ex machina still lurks around and showing itself a couple of times. If one is open-minded enough to not get bothered by the overt sexual themes of the plot and humor, I wholeheartedly recommend this

I really wanted to like Henpri. It should hit every box, but unfortunately it didn't. Henpri is brilliant in its storytelling. While it is a Hentai game, it really envelops you in this dark world where simple mistakes or issues can sentence you to a prison without any human rights. Hell, even some of the writing can be applied to real life right now, with things like collective shout and similar movements. Make no mistake: the art, voices, and story are incredibly well done. In fact, it's possible to just enjoy the story without the Hentai aspect, as that requires a patch. Unfortunately, though, as you know, many games that use patches are censored. So if you're like me and spent a silly amount of time trying to figure out how to add the patch, only to find out it's censored or mosaic, it's a real shame. My other personal issue is: why can't I save when I want? The intro alone is over an hour long, and you cannot save at all. So unless you have a ton of time, you'll have to restar...

Honestly quite a phenomenal visual novel. Only the devs of Nukitashi have the balls to, not only make a story about this subject matter and treat it quite respectfully, but also make it a thoroughly entertaining and funny story in its own right. If you're looking to dive head first into a visual novel, I recommend HENPRI.

El juego es sobre "sickos" en una prisión, la primera hora o dos te hacen pensar que es un ambiente increiblemente hostil y duro, y lo es, luego de 5 o 6 horas te das cuenta que... es la mejor novela visual del año
