So far so good, I'd say I really like this game. I've already been scared a couple of times by the monsters and ran away screaming. I'd actually say it's better to play than Goosebumps the Game or Goosebumps Dead of Night. But that being said, I really like R. L. Stine's books, movies, series and then these games. I hope there's more to come in the genre over time.

This is a cute short game targeted for younger children. I bought it out of nostalgia for Goosebumps and while it isn't scary to me, it will likely work for younger children. You're in a small town and move from location to location backtracking and opening new paths when you unlock equipment/powers. Gameplay is light puzzles (nothing too difficult but younger children might need help), stealth sections avoiding monsters, and combat (largely optional) using a slingshot. Nice art style, voice acting, and story (but remember the story is geared towards kids so it's nothing groundbreaking). There's no way to quit the game and the only way to reload your most previous save is by dying in game or ALT + F4ing the game and going back in. The game also doesn't tell you how to switch slingshot ammo: you press the number buttons 1 through 6. Due to the inability to quit and only being able to go back to your most recent save from a save point, I ALT + TAB'd out to idle until finishing my playthr...
This game is really fun to play and kept me hooked from start to finish. The story is amazing, with two different endings that make it worth replaying. What makes it unique is that it doesn’t rely on the classic Goosebumps monsters like Slappy it introduces a completely new lore and fresh storyline. As a longtime Goosebumps fan, I really enjoyed seeing something original while still capturing that spooky Goosebumps vibe. Definitely recommended! here is pros and cons list PROS ✅ + voice actors are amazing ✅ + gameplay & puzzles are fun ✅ + cartoony graphic ✅ + not heavy game even works on potato pc ✅ + copy of predator in the game ✅ + two ending & shocking ending ✅ + New story and lore ✅ cons ❌ - there is no slappy and others goosebumps iconic monsters in the story ❌ - short game 4 hours long to beat it ❌
It is rather difficult for me to decide how I feel about this game. I don't usually play games where you hide in different places instead of confronting the enemy. It's been pretty stressful, Hate those moments. If you like stealth games, hiding, and distracting, all kind of in a childish way, you might appreciate it. Wish there were more saving opportunities. Puzzles are way too easy in my opinion. But I like the story, lots of lore, very intriguing. Like the Haunted Book mechanics. Love that there's no soundtrack that would follow you through the game, there are sound effects, but other than that it's kind of more on a silent side, so when THERE'S music it feels special.
My heart was racing every stealth quest. The way some of the monsters pop up from behind added to the excitement. Altogether a good introduction for young gamer's to start playing horror theme games.
