Slackjaw is a horror walking simulator where you are kidnapped by a madman obsessed with teeth, stuck in a grimy basement, and have to try to escape. + The graphics are almost photorealistic, the atmosphere is creepy. (Although most of the game is made with high quality pre-made Unreal assets) +/- The puzzles are simple enough, find items to open locks etc. There is only one real interesting puzzle and it is near the end of the game. - I beat the whole game from beginning to end in 20 minutes. - The game is priced too high for what you get. ($10.00 for 20 minutes) - The game displays "Based on true events", might be false advertising. Quality but way too short. Should be free or a demo for a longer game. Overall: 4/10

I'll agree with other reviewers that the game is a bit short. I personally thought it needed more scares and content to be worthwhile.
The game is alright, but not really worth the price tag. I would have probably said it was worth it if not for it's many shortcomings. For a $9 game, I expect a game with a sufficient amount of options and one that isn't locked at 30fps. I expect vsync, resolution options, and graphics options other than low, medium, and high. For $9 I want a game with rebindable keys if for some reason the game uses less than standard keybindings that don't feel natural to use. Another one of the little things is the lackluster "ending" if you get caught. Just little things like that would make a big difference. I don't know how long the game took me to beat, but it wasn't long. It says I had it open for 1.3 hours, but I was probably only playing the game for maybe half of that. I see that the dev has added vsync, 60fps, and 2 resolutions since I played it. That's a good start, but I don't understand why those options weren't there when the game released. I mean, 30fps? I struggle to understand how ...
This was a short but cool suspenseful game, the story is interesting since its about an abduction from a killer based in real life events. The music was so good too. Poor victims:(
I had such a great time running through this experience—it left me wanting more! It carried some cues from Hello Neighbor, but with a far grimmer atmosphere. I really enjoyed every moment of it.
“I’ve been WATCHING YOUUUUUUUU”!!! Creepy little game with great atmosphere! If you like The Silence of The Lambs and the puzzles in the Resident Evil games I think you’d like this! Also get the soundtrack. Played with controller. I’d like to see this kind of thing expanded with inventory management and some “survival horror” elements, more mechanic depth as well but its a fun time and the escape room elements weren’t too hard or too easy. P.s it’s not 10 hours long lol I was also a play tester in the beta but I also bought it after.
Great Game !!
An enjoyable short horror experience but also very short
Fun experience that went by wayyyyyyy too fast. Hoping updates are added to add length to this title as I completed it in about 30 mins.
I have streamed a lot of indie games before. But this shit right here? Magnificent!!! I wish it was longer, BUT I will be buying whatever this developer puts out in the future. You all need to play this!
