About This Game

Welcome to Seas of Hydra! Sent to a watery world, the player, Hadwritz Yothich, fishes off of a friendly sea turtle in exchange for feeding it. Looks like you have some work to do!

Use your trusty rod to scavenge the seas for various fish, all with their own behaviors and quirks. Some may be quick, slow, consistent, or random. All you need to do is hook them to find out.

Your new turtle friend doesn't eat fish, but luckily someone does. A seagull has set up shop on his reliable sea craft. He will willingly trade your fish for upgrades, accessories, and most importantly, turtle food. You’ll need it as your turtle companion grows ever hungrier.

Find many unique fish, upgrade your rod, and see how long you can last in this relaxing fishing game.

Its a Fun Simple Fishing Game Met the Devs At PAX West and they did a great job of showing off their game so i decided to check it out so far its fun game is rather intuitive and progresses well as you can fish at night and deeper once you purchase the light upgrade as for a rating 7/10 its simple but games don't have to be complex to be fun i recommend this game 100%

Going off of my first impression, do I recommend this game? Yes (sort of). The main thing you need to keep in mind when going into this review is that the entire thing was produced in little over half a year by high school students, which is commendable, especially since the final result is quite nice. GAMEPLAY: What you see is what you get. Press A to throw the hook, arrow keys to move the hook around, and B to go to the shop. From there, you can get several upgrades to help speed up the line, hook speed, lighting radius, and bucket size. Of course, the main goal of the game is to get food for the turtle and see how long you can feed it before it's game over. After each run, you can put your score onto a leaderboard so you can see how well you did compared to previous runs. While simple, the gameplay is still enjoyable, probably best played in short intervals when you want to kill some time. The gameplay loop is relaxing and you can get a bit more time out of game if you're trying to...

I 100% love how you reel up fish i have only been playing for 15 MIN ATM but reely wanted to relay this. its a super chill fishing game so far I'm still learning the ropes. the turtle's hunger has become my mortal enemy give this thing some ozempic or something JK it took me a while to learn how to feed the turtle I don't remember if it was in the help or if I just missed it. This would be a fun phone game

I dropped my lure super far into the water and saw this big kraken thing for like half a second and then I had to play DDR with my reel to stop it from dropping 50ft per second. 1000/10 would be fed to magic turtle because of magic hat and getting distracted by sea monster again

I've not played much so far, but I'm definitely enjoying it! All of the fish designs are very creative (even the silhouettes look SO cool), and I really enjoy the mechanics! It's a nice game to sit at my desk and relax with. I can already see myself racking up the hours trying to catch every type of fish...

I bought this because I want to support young indie game developers, so don't go in thinking it's going to be perfect. For what it is, I think it's fun and I like that it's really challenging. It's more of a game you challenge your friends to for high scores. To the Dev team: Love the game guys! Some quality of life improvements I would like to see: [olist] [*]A profile system - Allow players to enter a name on their first play, and upon playing in the future they can select it again. Upon losing it will auto enter the players name, so they can get back to the game asap :D [*]Night time music - I really enjoy the music, but even a good song can get old if listened too long. I think some night time music would be great, and it would make the transition from day to night more exciting. [/olist]
