TL;DR: A promising framework of a game that suffers from a major lack of communication between the devs and the community while underdelivering on its promises. As of right now, this is an unoptimized mess of a game that garnered people in by promising an open world, astonishing graphics, and large physics improvements over the last iteration of the franchise but failed to deliver any remarkable progress during its early access release phase. So far the physics seem promising but not flushed (which is to be expected for an early access title), and the graphics look beautiful while still being way too demanding on the hardware compared to the offered visuals (which is also excusable for an early access title). I could even excuse the intense lack of playable content as of today, but this is where the excusable blemishes end. The open world has quietly been pushed off the face of this earth. By moving it towards the last steps of the roadmap without letting the community know, the c...

About Assetto Corsa EVO
Assetto Corsa EVO raises the bar of realism that has made the franchise one of the most popular driving simulations of the last decade even higher.
As with its predecessor, Assetto Corsa EVO will include cars from different classes spanning across years of motoring history. From road cars, classics, hypercars, and race cars. The most iconic representation of the automotive and motorsport world. Each vehicle is reproduced through Kunos in-house physics and graphic engine simulating mechanical, electronic, and aerodynamic performance, combined with the fidelity of the circuits created using Laserscan technology.
Throughout Early Access, you will experience a continuously expanding range of vehicles, tracks, and game modes, evolving towards our full 1.0 launch.
With the launch of a new KUNOS Simulazioni proprietary, high-performance photorealistic engine, VR and triple screen support have become first-class features and the new mathematical model meticulously simulates asphalt performance in different dynamic weather conditions that guarantees an authentic and realistic experience which will redefine the standards that have made Assetto Corsa globally renowned.

User Reviews
Disappointing by the bait and switch tactic this developer used to get people to cough up money for a extremely limited early access. The original development road map that was released showed that by now we would have tons of content. 8 months of time waiting and there has only been two updates. By now we were promised so much would be available to try.
Even in Early Access, this game blows me away. The graphics, physics, and gameplay is so realistic, a huge improvement from the normal AC. Recommended to others.
First, I want to say I dont review many games, but when there is a promise that hasnt even remotely lived up to the state of the game, it feels like its demo more than anything. It can be great, like many people say, but for them to truly do something good they need to listen to their fans, especially the ones who bought this glorified tech demo. Im not angry that its taking so long, its the fact that they arent open to their community, no one who bought the game still plays it due to how little content there is. Once I and the community actually see improvements, I could recommend it. But this doesnt feel like early access, it genuinly feels like a polished tech demo.
Development is going way slower than was initially promised, with features being pushed back and communication being very poor and slow. A lot of over promising and under delivering. The game has potential but currently feels way too much like an early alpha version. Knowing what I know now I regret having bought early access at launch. Flat screen performance is good, VR and triple monitor performance is not anywhere near good. Audio is a mixed bag, force feedback hit and miss, and the game lacks a lot of content for now. The game has potential but for now I'd steer clear of this one.
Classic KUNOS.. Over state promises that can't deliver on. Over state expectations that they know they'll never meet. UTTER AND COMPLETE SILENCE from the Devs until the public are at the gates with pitchforks and torches trying to knock down the walls. So many failed promises from them time and time again. So a classic kunos release. If I could return this game today I certainly would.
Removing dedicated servers completely - not being able to locally host private races with friends unless you pay for an expensive hosted server. This killed the game and had it been apparent from day 1, I would never have purchased the early access. Multiplayer is such an intergral part of a sim racing game. Without a viable option to play with friends the way I want to, there is no game for me to play. Also the driving physics are really wobbly, the ffb doesn't feel right even with a lot of tinkering despite good hardware (Asetek La Prima). The open world being pushed back by probably more than a year... The list goes on for negatives.
The recent 0.3 update has proven to be a significant enhancement. While improved transparency regarding update timelines and a more proactive social media presence from Kunos would be beneficial, the quality of the final product is paramount. The preference is for well-developed, polished content over rushed releases. This update highlights the game's potential as a leading simulator. The enhanced audio, impressive graphics, and optimized performance on my system, including a seamless online experience devoid of lag or stuttering, are particularly noteworthy. The level of refinement observed is unprecedented in my sim racing experience. Kunos is clearly demonstrating exceptional progress, and this project is poised for success.
Look like it was half abandoned at this point. Open world was promised by the summer btw. Looks like we will e lucky to get it by this time next year, if even that
I do not recommend in it's current state (basically an expensive tech demo.) I'm sure it will get better with time, but lack of communication from Kunos and the pace at which updates are being released has me regretting my good faith purchase. Genuinely hope they can get the updates back on track, love Kunos' work and I can't wait to play this game again when it's in a better state.
