About This Game

Explore a dangerous planet that's different every time and try to survive!

The Galactic Union's job for you is clear: research the alien wildlife -- for science! However, in this case, researching may include lasers, explosions, hungry aliens, space sushi, and other similarly delicious-or-terrifying hazards. In-between missions, use scrap metal you've collected to upgrade your stats.

Equipment

With the amazing miracle of Science, you too can discover more than 200 incredible lost technologies such as the Bucket or the Action Figure. Collect them all to stock your space station with piles of toys, weapons, and creatures, like the hoarder you've always wanted to be.

Alien Frenemies

Look, we all love aliens. But they don't always love us back. That's why we invented DOMESTICATION. The era of pet aliens has been one of many slimy, tentacled tummy-rubs... but next, we discovered a new problem: sometimes our pets wanted to go other places, do other things, or die prematurely. That's why we invented CLONING, to bring back our pets whenever we miss them. Science! Solving problems, every day.

Plus

 • Completely Procedurally Generated Levels
 • Everyone gets the same Daily Challenge - compare your progress with your friends
 • Class system - each clone skin has a different advantage

Whether you survive or die, you'll come away better than you started!

I like the game, but it's basically endless. It gets a bit repetitive. It's hack and slash, and there are multiple characters you can play, multiple pets you can have.
Very simple, but fun
After having this game in my library for a very long time without playing it, I gave it a try and was positively surprised by how little it sucked. This is not an AAA game, not even an AA game, but it does provide some entertainment. There is nothing bad about this game. All systems works and it is enjoyable for about 30-60 minutes per day, at most. The gameplay loop is as follows: You are a clone (one of several unlockable types) and you do mission. Even if you die (and you will, as your handler reminds you) you keep the brown resource on death. With that you can unlock more stuff, including equipment. At first it may seem harsh, but every newly discovered piece of equipment you unlock in your ship will give you some crystals, which is used to buy more equipment. Only on duplicate items do you not get any crystals. This means that at first you will be able to get tons of equipment "for free", essentially. Later on, when you are stronger, more duplica...

It's okay for what it is. I think it's a bit overpriced, but if you can get it on sale for under $5 it'd be worth it. After a couple hours, I don't know, I was just left feeling like I was doing the same exact thing over and over with zero variation. Which is sad, because there are a lot of game mechanics in place that should prevent that, but the core gameplay loop nullifies all of it. It's a recommend from me, but in the 5/10 kinda way. Someone would really love this, but that someone isn't me. There's a lot that is good here, it just falls a little short.

A very fun little game. It could've largely benefitted from player mods or balancing patches for some mechanics (shovel makes blight a non-issue, as you can dig away the access to the starting area).
