About This Game

Window seat or aisle? Booth or table? Lone wolf or life of the party? In Is This Seat Taken?, your mission is to organize groups of people according to their preferences. It’s a cozy, no-pressure logic puzzle game where you’re in charge of who sits where.

Whether it’s the cinema, a crowded bus, a wedding reception, or a cramped taxi cab, every setting introduces new characters with specific tastes. A party guest with a sensitive nose won’t be happy sitting next to a stranger who’s wearing too much cologne. A sleepy passenger won’t be happy trying to nap on the bus next to someone listening to loud music. It’s all about reading the room to find the perfect placement!

Nat is an aspiring actor whose world gets turned upside down when they see a shape just like them on the big screen. This discovery sends Nat on a global journey to meet their hero and figure out how to fit in. Experience Nat's heartfelt story as you travel from city to city, each with its own levels, characters, and charm.

  • Play seating matchmaker to please picky characters.

  • Discover each character’s unique traits—relatable, outlandish, and everything in between.

  • Piece together satisfying puzzles with no timers or leaderboards.

  • Unlock fun new scenarios as you progress—from bus rides to banquets!

A++ not only for the gameplay but having the default audio at 50% so it doesn't blow out my eardrums on launch like every other game ever made

The game concept is amazing and well fleshed out. My only complaint is in the London level all the cars are driving on the right, it ain't right!

I played the demo and immediately knew two things: 1) I was emotionally invested in oddly shaped blobs, and 2) I needed this game in my life. Now that it's out? It’s cozy chaos in the best possible way. Every level is like a tiny social puzzle where you're the awkward matchmaker trying to seat introverts, drama queens, and foodies without starting a war. It's Tetris for people-watchers. Charming art, relaxing music, and just enough brain-tickling logic to make me feel clever without Googling a walkthrough.

Cute and fun logic puzzle game, I just wish there was an easier way to redo a single part of a level instead of having to restart the whole thing when going for 100%. Works great on deck

Recommending this but with some caution; the game is mostly the same each level with minimal changes. The train part comes up various times. There is no hint system and the game isn't exactly hard. But the classroom part got me confused with the talking. There is also no save between levels so you cannot quit the game to your own leisure and have to finish a row of requests. It's fun. It's quite. It's wholesome and for the price it's not bad at all but I had genuinely wished there would be more variety in the levels.

I really wish I could have liked this game, I enjoyed the demo a lot. But the full game just simply falls short for it to fulfil the same feeling for it's price point in my opinion. It is closer to a mobile game that would cost around 2-3$ maximum than a game worth 15$ In short, if you like small puzzle games that are not complicated and does have a cute aesthetic this game could be right up your alley, but I would suggest for it to go on a big sale before buying if you really want your money's worth.

While the puzzle is amazing, it reminds me of my life as an Asian middle-aged man. You have to please everyone, your parents, your wife, and your daughter (or your son). Dont get me me wrong, i am having tons of fun, from the game. if you like this kind of "Please everyone puzzle game", i highly recommend "sunshine heavy industries".

Brain tickly and expertly balancing being both challenging and relaxing at the same time, is this seat taken? offers a good six to seven hours of logic puzzles in the form of, well, forms. And shapes. You'll accompany a rhombus in her quest to become a star, figuratively, and meet some quirky people that you have, somehow, to please when finding them adequate seating. Super cute to look at, lacking any sort of time pressures, is this seat taken? is the perfect afternoon puzzle game for you to spend one hour a day in for a full week. The controls are intuitive and the simple yet well realized, almost text book or instructions manual like, visuals make for an incredibly clear experience. My one request is for this: more. I'd like weekly puzzles, or monthly ones, or even seasonal ones. Really, just anything that the devs are comfortable releasing every now and then because I really enjoyed the experience, and I think it would work well in a similar way to a little to the left.
