I paid 5 euros and had fun for about 7 hours. But this game has impressively bad balance. Some skills deal way more damage than others, and picking up weapons is a bad idea since they don’t scale well. Yeah—an action game where weapons are useless. It feels like the devs had a strict deadline and limited budget. They ended up making a 7/10 game, but with a bit more love it could have easily been a 9/10.
So it's a top-down rogue-lite auto attack survival game, and that's nothing new these days, but what sets this game apart are the options you have for environmental interactions and character positioning, which allows for a more skill based experience. You still get random drops as you go up in levels, the waves of enemies can be a little unpredictable, and you're set up to fail the first few times you play, but as things go on your options greatly increase, which again help you, the player, maneuver yourself within the environment for greater advantages. Sure the game just attacks for you, and it's not exactly Streets of Rage, but it's really a lot of fun, and it's a whole lot better than most games in this category.
Sure, there's a few mechanics and scaling that could use some polish, but all in all it was a great fun pass-time. The feel of the game is excellent, and it has solid game-play behind the glitz and whiz-bang. Just a great effort by the developers where they put huge amounts of work into the smallest details. It comes off as such a hit. I thought it had a nice balance of grinding and unlocking. I chose to play on the 2nd difficulty setting from the start and skipped Easy ('fighter difficulty') so perhaps my play hours are inflated from the norm. But I liked it enough that I was happy to purposefully slow down the grind so I wouldn't reach the end too quickly. It's got so much of the "flavor" of a good kung fu action fight. You control the protagonist fighter I guess I'll call him Karate Man. You get to do all kinds of outlandish things like skidding over and under obstacles to deliver kicks, grab vertical poles to swing around with face-kicks or sometimes pole-vault across the...
SUCH a good idea for a game and executed perfectly. I've wanted a game for so long that captures the feeling i had when playing Sifu, and this hits it. LOVE the combo building, unlocking new moves, and trying to figure out the inspirations for enemies, bosses, and areas,
no way but i beat it
Fun "bullet hell" roguelike without bullets, but with fists!
vamp surv like
Really cool take on the bullet heaven genre. Takes a few runs to unlock some of the environmental interactions, but it really gets going once you start unlocking those. Flipping over tables, off walls, kicking/throwing random items into the hordes, etc. The environments play a big roll in the runs. Other bullet heaven game's levels feel boring in comparison now.
12小時完成所有舞台一遍。 與其他倖存者遊戲比較,本作強調在連招中動作感以及環境互動要素上,動作感當真是很賞心悅目。
