Dora’s possibly the best thing you can get at the price tag. Momo’s also short, cute and extremely merciless, on both the philosophical and gameplay fronts. Take the aDorable, happily squeaking, jumping around mandragora – things that the protagonist mercilessly slaughters off one by one (unless on a pacifist run.) Or some of the friendly characters that can be killed-off for good during the story, or the general bleakness of the game’s world when the player takes the time to look around for lore. Actually, even the demons from hell don’t look particularly evil. Weirdly enough, this does not create the sense of incompatibility and only adds up to the Momo’s gloom. Speaking about the world, both graphics and music are gorgeous. It is absolutely stunning how much emotion can be conveyed by those tiny pixel-art creatures. Take that Unreal5.
