If you're a big fan of the classic "immersive-sim" style stealth much like Thief, Deus Ex, or even PREY. This game is great. There are a lot of different ways to tackle the many different levels thrown at you. You'll be crawling through vents, throwing banana peels, flushing your foes bodies down the toilet and much more. While the enemy AI could be just as stupid as your average Elder Scrolls guard. I found that it made the game's sandbox simply fun. You will literally find yourself walking right behind one of the various space pirates patrolling the ship only to be able to evade any detection with a comically slow sidestep. Even so you will find yourself slipping up quite a few times your first time playing through. While this game features combat, at it's core it is a puzzle game. A great one at that, totally worth the 20 Bucks, Plus it's an easy 100%.

About This Game
Skin Deep is an immersive first-person shooter. We got sneezing. We got things getting stuck in your feet. Stalk through a vast non-linear starship and sneak, subvert, and sabotage to survive in this stellar sandbox. You're outnumbered, outgunned, and have no shoes.
Welcome to Skin Deep!
A WALKING TALKING INSURANCE POLICY
When insurance corporations want to keep valuables safe, they freeze you and stow you onto their cargo starships.
And when space pirates board the starship and trip the silent alarm, you unthaw, take a deep breath, and handle the situation.
Good luck, operative.

Hey, it's a fun game! It's a good game too! This may be, as one of the other reviews said, "the best stealth we've had since MGS V". Then again, they are a bit different, with MGS being more open-world, and Skin Deep being set in space. They are both a bit whimsical though when it comes to the choices you have, but whereas in MGS the main loop is kind of serious and you have to actively search for those funny "throw an empty clip in a guard's face to stun them" moments, Skin Deep fully embraces and encourages this approach, giving you plenty of things to throw and interact with each other in hilarious ways. The "spaceships are levels" concept is great honestly, with each ship having it's own theme and it's own gimmicks to find and play with. Having the ability to go into space and circle around the ship also gives it more of an open feel. I've seen people mention that the locked doors order often dictates the main progression path and kind of locks you (no pun intended) into it, bu...
Her foes beheaded, The insurance samurai Rubs in aloe. If you ever wanted a new No One Lives Forever, your day has come.
Neat, varied and well-structured immersive sim that always offers up a new trick, a cool setpiece and a clever twist on something familiar. Doesn't outstay its welcome and has several laugh-out-loud moments.
Nice, short, immersive sim game. Reminds me of Dishonored which I really like. Last mission is a real tricky though, almost made me quit but I'm glad I stuck with it.
In my honest opinion GOTY 2025. no other game that is going to release this year will have the charm, story, and gameplay equivalent to that of skin deep it is just genuine fun for the whole game just 10 hours of silliness and joy. (GET THIS GAME)
What I love the most about Skin Deep is the many excellent design choices. From how they present the interactive cut scenes to the stealth mechanics and of course the visual design. It all comes together to a goofy, yet very enjoyable game with what I think is the perfect length. And this was made with id Tech 4? How awesome is that! (I fear if this game becomes a hit, somewhere in Wonky Space MIAOCorp would start to scramble together a bullshit remaster in UE5, haha)
is cool
if this isnt kino then i dont know why we use the word in the first place
Extremely fun with a fantastic art style, still in awe this is done on the same engine as Doom 3
