No Skin is less a game and more a psychological malware. I finished it and immediately wanted to apologize to my mirrors. Working through it is like scrolling through your own sleep paralysis episode while someone whispers “lore” into a busted tape recorder. Short(?), sharp, and it lingers way longer in your head than it has any right to. If Silent Hill was made by a failed English major chain-smoking through their student loan grace period, this would be it. 8/10, my skin is gone, please return if found.

One of the best roguelike games I've ever played. I played the demo and had been eagerly waiting for the full release. The gameplay is addictive and the art style is absolutely stunning. For just $6.99, the amount of content and quality you get is incredible.
NO-SKIN merits a conditional recommendation for me. As a game, it's repetitive and not tremendously deep. While a few additional character options do fluff out the variety a bit, the basic mechanics don't expand much from where you start the game. For the most part, it's centered on repeating the same core gameplay loop but gradually sussing out secrets by discovering and experimenting with interactions. I did find that aspect somewhat fun though, and the surreal, ominous atmosphere is a lot of fun. There's not a lot on offer from a story perspective though. Cryptic hints abound but don't lead much of anywhere conclusive. Characters are introduced but not given consistent personalities, desires, or speech patterns. It really doesn't feel like there's a thread you can follow towards any sort of answer here; just a collection of disjointed spooky moments waiting for the player to provide any semblance of explanation. Conditionally, if you're not looking for an oceanically deep experience...
10/10
Calling this game a rogue-lite is a stretch. Hell even calling it a game is a stretch as you'll be doing the same thing every time with nothing changing. The story is vague and uninteresting. The gameplay is simply go to room and fight enemies who are barely any different doing the same 2 moves over and over again. There's horror elements but calling this a horror game feels misleading. You want scares? You want dread? Wrong game, keep looking. Do you want to be bored out of your mind? This is the game for you. In my opinion this would go much further as a free game since even $7 feels too expensive for what we're given.
I saw markiplier play this a while back and just got around to trying it out and the only thing i regret is not trying it sooner. This game is a masterpiece, amazing ambiance , with dark and scattered lore to be found just about everywhere. I love the random events and this beautiful pixel art style, not to mention the vast variations of different characters, not to mention the characters you can unlock to play as, is a fine touch to keep the game interesting and stupidly fun in its most repetitive moments. My new favorite game 10/10.
Great Juni Ito / David Lynch atmosphere and fun, addictive chance-based gameplay that kept me in the 'one more go' loop for a while. This is a really cool hidden gem I haven't seen anyone outside of Steam really talking about. I can see myself spending a lot of late nights with this one
No-Skin. A game most have run across due to Markiplier. If you like Cryptic stories, this one is for you. This game has all women in it with the exception of 1 guy, and 1 god that I presume is male. This game has a beautiful Ambiance, 4th wall breaking in an interesting way. The person who created this game knew what they were doing and this is not a game's story made by sheer luck or hopes of a good audience. You will be dying and playing a lot, to try and piece the story together for yourself. This game is relatively low-key so it's not like you can just google the secret boss at the end of it all. (Not yet at least). There is alot going on in the story. The people who will enjoy this game the most are the ones who love the direction of the story and the art. There are 5 playable characters in the traditional format. And a lot of Binary to translate. It's almost horror but it's more of a mystery to me. Whole kindheartedly recommend. I look forward to the next installments of the...
