About This Game

Space

is a short, atmospheric horror game where you explore eerie, abandoned structures adrift in the vastness of space. The focus is on creating a sense of dread through haunting visuals and unsettling silence. Every step you take immerses you deeper into the unknown, where the true terror lies in what you cannot see.

Experience a surreal environment where eerie silence and cosmic isolation create a palpable sense of dread. Dim lighting and shadowy corners evoke a sense of unease as you explore the labyrinthine corridors and vast, empty spaces. The design combines elements of futuristic decay and otherworldly architecture, creating a unique blend of beauty and desolation.

Unsettling Encounters: Discover strange anomalies and inexplicable occurrences that challenge your perception of reality.
Psychological Tension: The oppressive silence and the sense of being watched heighten the tension as you venture deeper into the unknown.
Visual and Auditory Cues: Subtle audio hints and visual distortions keep you on edge, never knowing what might lurk in the next shadowy alcove.
SPACE is a game of exploration and atmospheric horror, where the true terror lies in the unknown.

Extremely needlessly performance heavy and lower settings add weird lighting/reflection glitches. Random loud screaming jumpscares out of nowhere. Really slow walking and no run option. No pause menu, meaning no way to get back to options other than alt+f4 and restart. Weird teleporting puzzle got me stuck in ground and couldnt figure it out. Has few cool environments, but negative aspects pull the weight down too much overall. Pretty sad becouse liminal structures in space is really cool concept.

Yea so...I didn't believe the nay sayers and haters of this game but after 39 minutes.. I'm sorry, after I WASTED 39 minutes streaming this on my channel I alt-F4'd out of it. Why? because hitting escape does NOTHING. It is so incredibly dark I couldn't even see where I had to go and you move so slow it took me 10 minutes to realize I was lost. Oh, but why didn't I just adjust the brightness? There IS NO brightness adjustment. After two super cheap jump scares and walking at a snails pace for 39 minutes I cast this game down. Garbage. I really wanted to like it. I really did but.... this game is.... trash. DO NOT BUY IT

Refunded, within the first 5 minutes the game hits you with some blob that pops in your face with this OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD SCREAM JUMPSCARE, THEN YOU GET HIT WITH ANOTHER ONE 5 MINS LATER. The game was stuck in 4:3 ratio for me dunno if intentional or not but no option to change it, bare minimal graphics options, only presets, NO pause menu to speak of not to mention no settings changing mid game. This game is so undercooked it's not even funny. I love the idea of a space themed backrooms/liminal game but this is HORRIBLE in it's current state, the dev should be ashamed of releasing this.

The ONLY reason this gets a recommendation from me, is the author's successful attempt at providing a gloomy, backrooms-flavored liminal environment. It's spooky. And that folks, sadly, is all the good. This COULD have been so much better, IF: 1. The walking speed was AT LEAST twice as fast. AT LEAST TWICE. Right now, it takes forever to get to your targeted area. Its agonizingly slow. So dev, PLEASE - make it fast. Because as of this review, it's ... half-fast. Yeah, you heard me right - half-assed. 2. The jump scares need to be removed, or replaced witrh MUCH better quallity ones. Seriously. They are freaking BAD, and unnecessary, and while a couple gave me a jolt, it didn't stop me from laughing after, and catch myself mutteriung, "Dude, that's just so f#cking BAAAD." Because, well ... they are. 3. Incorporate a menu, save, checkpoint system. Look, I really wanna finish this game - because I like a few things about it. But now, I start over, when I decide to launch it again. And ...

A backrooms game in space based in the pool rooms! I managed to escape my way to the ending. This game is similar to pools and dreamcore but with a more space themed outer area. Its a blast to play and highly reccomend to any backrooms explorer.

Way too dark. Right from the start, you'll find yourself in areas so dark that you end up going in circles and on top of that, there's no running.... Just a slowww stroll through darkness
