About This Game

As a cataclysmic event rocks the planet, you find yourself in an antiquated submarine tasked with only one goal: survive and reach a deep water facility. Manage the internal systems onboard the sub to keep yourself alive and fend off undersea horrors as they attempt to cut your journey short.

Thalassophobia is a short, immersive horror experience that will have you interacting with multiple onboard systems to keep yourself and your sub intact as you navigate downwards towards your only hope for survival. Use the systems around you in unorthodox ways to ward off creatures both known and unknown as they attempt to bring about an untimely end to your desperate voyage into the depths.

Can you reach the bottom?

Similar to Iron Lung with resource management, very fun to play through and stressful in the good way!

Thalassophobia is a murky deep atmospheric horror game that has you manning a diving sub to reach an underwater base and nothing goes wrong =), SPOILERS BELOW Id say the game is well crafted and the ideas are fully formed, the ways you pilot the ship were intuitive, I found myself frustrated at the ways I lost because I just had to do it over again better without really learning anything new, id recommend making the power meter start out by draining faster and as it gets lower make it drain slower, so it seems to the player that they are almost out of power when they have more wiggle room then they'd like, also making the losses pack more of a punch instead of just a fade to black would really help keep it tense, another thing was it seemed far too easy to notice when each monster was there, merely an obvious audio clue and large visual, id rather be on the constant lookout as it gives me something to do while im just waiting for o2 to run out or falling, as for the win effect the ...

Solid, short little experience. Defense is fairly intuitive, you know the tools at your disposal so figuring out how they work organically is pretty fun. It's interesting trying to figure out the best way to go down. What systems can you turn off? How can you prepare? Overall solid little experience

iron lung-esque game, only this time the world has ended and your in a ancient submarine attempting to descend to a base below the sea. You have to juggle internal and external lights, a electric shock button and the oxygen generator against the typical “electrics cut out if you have too much running at once” approach. You also need those for when you get attacked by 3 different monsters,
one needing external lights to dissuade, 1 you need to vent oxygen at it and the last needs a zap from the shock button
. All sounds good but you have 1 battery and its power is very limited with no way to recharge. Overall its an interesting one but seems a little too pernickety with how careful you need to keep the battery going long enough to survive.

Fantastic game. The interior visuals in the craft are very well done. The small details along the walls feel like a puzzle that helps you understand not only the story but also how to improve your runs (or dives). Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick, challenging, and suspenseful game.
