This was the first game I ever played, back in 2015 I guess, I used to have a laptop with an integrated graphics card and 4 GB RAM. This game would scare the shit out of me with the sound effects and jumpscares, and how incredibly overpowered the bosses would be. I couldn't complete the game back then though. It was a CD type thing, not from Steam. Today I finally finished it, I beat not only the game, but also a challenge I never thought I could overcome, since it is that kind of a horror that takes place at a young age signifying that it is impossible to beat. I have had over 3.5k hours in CSGO/CS2, and after all that mechanical improvement, plus the prior knowledge I had, I was able to beat the game in about 6 hours. I am pretty sure I will replay this, I don't care how old this gets, how outdated the graphics might be, it was, and still remains my favorite game of all time. I had no idea back then of any other game so this always seemed so much ahead of it's time back then. ...

User Reviews
You know a game is so abandoned and dead when discord thinks I'm playing Death Stranding instead
Dark Sector is a third-person shooter developed by Digital Extremes and originally released in 2008, later finding its way to Steam. Set in a bleak, Eastern European-inspired world ravaged by a mysterious bio-weapon, the game follows Hayden Tenno, a CIA operative infected with a virus that slowly transforms his body while granting him supernatural abilities. What begins as a fairly standard military-themed shooter evolves into something far stranger and more distinctive as Hayden gains new powers and the story shifts into darker, more surreal territory. The game attempts to blend gritty gunplay with body horror and science fiction, aiming to carve its own niche in a genre dominated at the time by titles like Gears of War and Resident Evil 4. It doesn’t always succeed, but what it offers is a unique, stylish, and sometimes uneven experience with flashes of brilliance. The most notable feature of Dark Sector is the Glaive, a three-pronged throwing weapon Hayden gains early in the game...
Digital Extremes, one of the worst game developers ever. No thank you.
Its a OK game with nice graphics and peak voice acting a little repetitive and short but can be underrated 7/10
I remember when i played it when i was a kid.. was amazing... it still is cool but unoptimized... like.. it crashes for no reason.. the resolution flips from 4k to 360p for whatever reason... sadly bad ported.. the game itself is cool af tho
