Ocean planet is a foddian game with 15 level to learn and practice every mechanics and a full foddian map to truly test your mastery of the game. Despite the gameplay effect looking orbish bland, the map and background is really beautiful, beside a few cube platform in some places. The main level has a few place where you can die, but for each area you have a place where you respawn too. you can also lose progress by falling although most of the fall seems fairly punishing. For the challenge level, the art is way more bland, and the lack of coyote jump really hurt while you don't really realise it in the main game design. the survive bubble level are also pretty boring imo but the other were fun in a challenging way to finish and speedrun to get on the leaderboard At the moment there is a few ick with controller gamepay but you can rebind it to your keyboard through steam input system and it works wonder. I would recoment it for 2d platformer fan and foddian alike

About This Game
Ocean Planet takes gameplay style inspired by 'Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy' to the extreme with a higher focus on atmospheric & immersive visuals, gameplay progression, hypnotic ambience, and a VERY lengthy main game map, where the difficulty stems from the map itself rather than frustrating controls.

Jump and climb your way through the atmospheric and immersive main game mode featuring over 12 ocean-themed sections including:
Octopus Base, Power Plant, Bubble Park, Pool Party, Beach, Shipwreck, Skull Sanctuary, Pirate Base, Aquarium, Seafood Palace, Outerspace, Spaceship, and Cockpit.

Test your skills in the Challenge Mode!
These are platforming levels that break away from the Foddian style of the main game. The starting levels show off mechanics introduced in the main game, and find different uses of them. The later challenges become increasingly difficult.

Speedrun through the main game to achieve the fastest completion time!
There are two separate leaderboards: one for the best overall time, which includes both the main game and all challenge levels, and another for the most wins, which ranks players based on the highest number of wins in the main game.

Came to support a guy I met online, stayed for a really fun experience. If you like games such as GOIWBF or Jump King, you'll enjoy this too.
Don't let Scuba Steve touch the acid :)
imma be honest and say this is pure levels of getting over it, i've been stuck on the very 1st level all because of the bubbles. i've tried and tried and i can never pass the 1st level and the fact the game lacks tutorial. idk this is a mix bag for me. (pros graphics and music) (cons controls are stif and dont feel responsive the fact keyboard makes it unplayable but cointroller wise is ok.)
The game's mechanics are intuitive, and the graphics and atmospheric soundtrack work well together. The controls seem pretty solid. There have been a few minor glitches here and there, and sometimes the foreground & background can be hard to tell apart, but minor issues aside this is highly recommended for platforming fans looking for a good challenge.
game accomplishes what it set out to do. very solid for the devs first game
Awesome platformer with great visuals and level design.
10/10 would planet again
fun and challenging game
Has some issues but overall a good fun game, Adams skills from mapping are very obvious here as the level design is the best bit! Definitely recommend picking this up, especially 8 quid cannot complain at all.
