Shotgun Cop Man

Shotgun Cop Man is a downgrade compared to My Friend Pedro in almost every way, but it has its own fun twist: Shooting in the opposite direction to gain momentum. Yes, as the title suggests, you have a shotgun in one hand that you can use to gain momentum, jump, and sometimes kill. However, the main weapon is a better choice for killing since it has a better range. There is also another mechanic that allows you to throw enemies at each other, but I ended up using it rarely. The story is basically nonexistent, and the humor is also downgraded to an extremely minimal level. There are basic exchanges of words at the beginning of each section between the protagonist and Satan, and Satan responds to his justice-driven words only with “Fuck you, Shotgun Cop Man!”. That’s his only line for the whole game, by the way. The graphics are also very basic, which makes me think, why would they go down this path, downgrading everything compared to its predecessor? This is a neutral review. To be honest, I'm not very satisfied with the game. It's nowhere near as innovative as My Friend Pedro was for its time. At that time shooting with two hands on different sides of the screen had a wow! effect on me. The gameplay of ‘Shotgun Cop Man’ offers nothing impressive. This game could be fun, but in my opinion the accessibility feature ruins the challenge because you can activate custom slow-action mode and easily complete all the levels. I can't see any reason not to use this option. Also all the bosses are boring. Anyway, I'm supporting the new project from the DeadToast Entertainment team and welcoming a new character to Pedro's universe! P.S. The original techno soundtrack is cool :)

I played the demo more than 80% of my Steam library. Full version is even better. Game is fun as hell even without toe sucking.

Fuck you, Satan! This game is amazing. This is my first game from DeadToast but it won't be my last. Holy cow. It's just so much fun. I've been playing it every night for a week now. Character design is great, love the art style and minimalism. I kind of wish there were more enemies on almost all of the stages? But really, you should download this game. Its incredible. Such a great take on the precision platformer/speedrunner genre. It took about 8 hours to beat, but there's community generated campaigns, maps, and a ton of great additional content! Gogogo buybuybuy! Take your wallet out. you wont regret it!

very fun and never gets stale. every chapter has a new mechanic that might be minor or might be a great focus, and I felt a great balance between the two. that said, my middle finger of the right hand did hurt after a few minutes of gameplay because I used a controller with an analog trigger and you do have to spam shoot a lot using many of the weapons, I recommend rebinding shoot to the shoulder buttons if your controller is also like that.

Solid platformer with an interesting and unique mechanic. It was fairly easy, but the progression of abilities, guns, habitat complexity, and enemies is perfect for me.

It's a really neat concept, and i like just how much they increased the recoil so you fly.
