I second KoolLilKiwi's review :D I highly recommend it to anyone, who likes a semi-idle game. Idle Waters is a neat little semi-idle game. Plenty of fish and other items to discover, upgrades to work your way through, new areas that unlock as you progress. I thoroughly enjoyed this game for the first 40+ hours or so, but then it turned in to a pure idle game - just letting it run for hours on end to try to fill the collection with all the different variants of each fish. At this point I found it hard to stay motivated to even start it up as I like the feeling of progression in idle-type games, but I don't actually like pure idle games. I like the semi-idle ones, where you do have to interact with the game now and then, but it's chill enough that you can watch something else on the side. So this game did fit the bill for the first long while. Now that sounded a bit negative, HOWEVER the developer is extremely responsive to feedback and has been releasing loads of patches to fix and im...

I bought the game about a week ago, and started playing it on the 8th of August. I've gotten nearly 75% of the achievements, all common fish, and most of the quests done (save for the colored stones quest for the pirate seal). This game is well worth the price, the variety of fish is awesome, the charm system allows you to prioritize what you want the game to be i.e active vs idle, treasure hunter vs fish catching, etc. The newly added lure system lets you add an extra layer to your fishing by giving you the option of catching fish / treasures within a certain level at the cost of some of your coins (that get more expensive the higher the level). Overall very satisfied with my purchase, and I'm hoping to see more games from this developer!
Best Idler that I have played.
A lovely idle game with a developer that has been very attentive. It was already a very good game on release, and has had tons of little changes making it even better. I haven't quite collected everything yet, but even once I do, it'll be a nice game to have running while I work. The background art is so pretty with a good variety of locations. The fish tanks are almost exactly what I wanted out of a desktop fish idler. This was extremely worth the money.
Hits the right spot for me as a fan of fishing games, and is looking for something casual yet graphically pleasing. This game is a plethora of small delights served with adequate progression. Its a really great desktop idler with suitable RPG elements (quests, upgrades in both lateral and vertical progress) and timely QOL updates (played since v1 release). Its quite fascinating how smooth progression is in the game due to the wide array of collection the game has (fish, treasures, quests). This is also reinforced with the new lure system for late game collections/progress The game functions well in a broad sense of playstyles too. While it may be an idler game, more "active" players can choose to equip a charm later on that rewards more catches with active engagement/surveillance. Developer is really active in the forums and on improving the game, so thats a +1 too Overall, its an idler game beyond the worth of its price point for me. Would recommend for people who enjoy collectio...
