pros: - a really fun simulation game! it scratches an itch i didnt even know i had and i know i will be spending hours with this game despite the issues i have with it. - you can make your favorite characters kiss. 10/10. - there is an online gallery so if you dont want to bother with the character creation, you can just borrow somebody elses character. - demonstrates a really good understanding of fan culture! - SO MANY FEATURES. cons: - tbh, the translation is not as bad as people say it is. however, there is a fair amount of usage of chinese fandom slang, most notable of which being “cp” (which, after a google search that i was TERRIFIED to make, revealed that it’s basically the same as otp). this specific slang was very jarring and led to me frantically going through reviews to make sure i didnt accidentally buy something very very odd. - as others have mentioned, the filtering system is not great and the nsfw content really hits you out of nowhere (ex: a fanfic idea titled...

yeeeah like a lot of people say the english translation is nooot very good i think their "solution" was to basically just say "if you don't like it turn it off" which is... weird for such a writing/narrative focused game *but!* if you're willing to put up with it, i do think this game is super fun so far! reeeally self-indulgent in the best possible way
This is a game brimming with love and passion and many flaws. It's clear that this is an indie game, and likely one of the developers' first games. Please approach the game with properly tempered expectations; do not expect the game to be flawless. Be warned that you are purchasing a game that can be extremely scuffed at times. The biggest issue is the translation—it's serviceable but very clunky. Part of the gameplay is writing fanfiction, and the game generates pre-written fanfics with name replacements. This is a cute and fun concept, but this is where the English localization issues are most glaring. There are frequent line breaks in the middle of words that make the text difficult to read, and most of the writing feels quite unnatural for English speakers. Not nonsensical, but very very annoying to read. Main story text and other minor texts also have their share of translation issues. They are generally understandable if strangely worded. Fan communities across the w...
Barely played this game before I refunded it. The English translation is almost incomprehensible, and the introduction to the game is frustrating and poorly designed. It holds your hand as if you've never seen a character creation screen before, forcing you to be walked through it, but not once does it stop and explain that you're not even creating YOUR character, but rather two of the "characters" that you will be shipping.
The game-play is fun, but the translation being poor kills the immersion.
With 51 hours from partially playing through different stages of EA twice and completing the main story of v1.0 from a 2-3 day binge, yeah I guess I do recommend this game. - I do think the store page is slightly misleading. Go into the game with the context that it's half VN with an established MC, and half fandom creation sim with the gameplay loop of earning inspiration/money to write your blorbo fanfics and fund your blorbo merch creation. - I don't think I would be into the game as much if it weren't for the fact that it gives you the freedom to import your own customizations if you wish (i.e. I could export the doll base, modify the parts as needed, and import them back in to setup during blorbo creation. You can see the game's workshop for examples of these. You can also import your own images for merch and fanfic templates). This, coupled with the limited sticker mechanic (like Sticky Business) just makes it so fun to make your blorbo merch. I've spent hours playing around...
STUNNING FANGIRL SIMULATOR. 2025 GAME OF THE YEAR.
I have finished what you would call the "main story" that being the first 100 days of the game. I am happy to say this right here is my game of the year lock, and I won't change my mind. I ADORE this game, I've been in fandom since I was easily far too young, writing away on fanfiction-net, livejournal, all of that. I love how wide the variety is, old and new, and though its clearly focused on the asia side of fandom, the west has grown to have many similarities. So if you love fandom, give this a try! I've not written many reviews, but I want to break down some of the major pro's, con's, and other small important notes.
PRO'S:
- Being able to make my own custom parts was extremely easy!! Download the psd file, which I imported into csp and converted appropriately. And everything came out fantastic! I'm a yumeshipper, so this allowed me to make my own oc, my favorite character, and hell, anyone else I wanted...
This game is probably the most accurate experience to being a fandom creator ever (minus the irl friend group that lives near you and the instant success). It is entertaining as hell and the content it generates is so accurate it's scary. You can tell a lot of love went into the writing of the characters and events. You can even tell the love and knowledge the creators and writers have for fandom itself. And while the constant generation of images does take a toll on the efficiency and makes starting up the game a thing that requires patience, it's all worth it. The game itself runs fine enough, even with that slow start. All and all, this game feels like a love letter to fandom and weeb culture. Embrace the cringe
I loved this game so much!!!! I sped ran it in two days without intending to do so simply because I was sucked into it. I stayed up for a whole 24 hours simply because I couldn't get my mind off it~ Yet, if I have one true critique, it'd be that I WAS NEVER GIVEN AN OPTION TO KISS CORA!!! WAAAAAH
You can tell this game is a love letter to fandom cultures and fanwork creators! It's cute, thoughtful and funny, i wasn't expecting anything specific but this is absolutely adorable and packed with stuff to do. The art is very nice, the story and characters pretty entertaining. And if you have OCs you're obsessed with, it's a GREAT outlet to manifest your hyperfixation and scratch an itch. It's delightful to see your own characters being bring to life in such a creative way (bonus point for all the AUs ideas it can give) I'm playing this with my friend who share OCs with me, and we're having so much fun with it. Plus as a fanfic writer who stopped publishing my works to the internet several years ago to just write for myself and a couple close friends, this game kinda makes me want to go back to it. Of course it's not perfect, there's a bit of jank here and there, and it lacks a bit of polishing in its current state. Creating the characters can be tricky, frustrating and counter-i...
