About This Game

"Thick fog crept slowly across the marshes along Highway 285 in New Mexico, occasionally revealing the strangely orange reflection of the moon."

Washing dishes, cleaning, and carrying boxes to the basement. None of it seems to be a difficult task. Of course, solitary work at night isn't for everyone, but what could go wrong?

"The jukebox fell silent, and I shivered. I realized that the music was masking the strange scratching coming from the basement."

Take a shift in the night of the bloody moon and find out what it means to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Follow the mysterious rules to survive until dawn and feel the breath of lurking evil on your own skin.

[I'm not recommending this game majorly due to it's usage of AI generated voices and images, pay artists for their work] The game had a promising start and a fun concept, starting out with it's gameplay loop of being quietly creepy in different ways and being an enjoyable cleanup simulator. Sadly the money system you're working towards doesn't have any actual effect on the player or gameplay in any real way, and by the time you start enjoying and understanding the game's cleaning loop mixed with scary happenings, you're forced to just stop engaging with it entirely. Additionally, as mentioned above, this game uses generative AI for all of it's voices and artwork instead of hiring artists and supporting the indie horror and creative community. SPOILERS FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE GAME
The last portion of the game forces you to stop your usual cleanup routine entirely and throws every enemy and possible game ending system at you at the same time in breakneck...

Pretty decent! That said, the resets are waaaay too punitive, and the endgame ramps up difficulty quite a bit. Combine that with the resets, and it becomes pretty annoying, especially when it's not exactly clear when that stupid hag is coming after you. Not to mention those ghosts are pretty rude. They got everything dirty after I put in all the work. I mean, c'mon, let me enjoy my chores a bit! Still recommending the game, but be prepared to get more annoyed than scared.

Best horror game I've played all year! The buildup in this game is slow and eerie, and it will start to eat at your sanity. the coyotes outside, the horses galloping... just sounds added to the game, but they make all the difference to set a chilling atmosphere! And to the people complaining about AI voice usage... We all have to start somewhere, and using the tools that are available to you at the moment is very acceptable. Great work! I've already bought the second game and will play it for my channel too! I won't plug a link, just look up my name on YouTube if you want to see a play through.

Call me crazy... but I really enjoy the horror games where you have to do day to day jobs while also avoiding the horrors around. Roadside Diner is a really fun experience in that aspect. So far I've enjoyed all of the Creepy Shift games... and can't wait for the next installment.
