I don't like the mix of horror and eroticism- historically it has given me only thinly veiled cheap jump scares and body horror (which I don't have the stomach for) but THIS? it's perfect! So let's get the cons out of the way. - No rollback - Cannot save anywhere like renpy - Some spelling mistakes - some quite low-res images in early chapters
PROS
- Doesn't feel like a porn game, not even erotica till it wants to be, the story and horror aspects are taken seriously and aren't a cheap afterthought. - Story feels legit sinister, the horror is GREAT. - Characters are top-notch, yes there are those VN archetypes here but none stereotyped, they all have depth. - Sandbox which first felt unjustified shows itself to be one of it's greatest strength, the world actually feels open and immersive. - Hot scenes are legit hot. - MUSIC! The Music is composed by the dev themselves and it fits this like a glove!- this in itself makes Cabin Corpse better than others. A solid 9/10...

About This Game

On one fateful night, you stumble upon a strange cabin in the middle of the woods. You have no recollection as to who you are, or why the hallucinations and voices in your head guided you there. After getting acquainted with the house guests, you realize all is not as it seems, and must uncover the secret behind a series of mysterious events. You must interact with the characters, gain their trust, form relationships, gather clues to uncover the truth, manipulate people, and decide their fates.
Also, there are naughty scenes in this game

24-hour day/night cycle with plenty of events and activities to keep you invested in the story.
Unique character activities at different times of day, and sometimes on specific days only. These change as the story progresses.
Build relationships with characters by progressing their stories and helping them out with favors.

You can progress character stories in whichever order you prefer,

- One thing I like to convey to the player is the character's emotions while speaking. So I created, and hand-pick face emotes to give every line of dialogue more impact.
- I also utilize different kinds of screen transitions depending on the context of the scene/dialogue to make them more lively.
There are over 50 unique songs in the game, that I made myself in FL Studio. I highly recommend playing with the music turned on, to experience the game as it was intended.

I've already created a story plan for the entire game. There are 7 Chapters in total.
Are the house guests who they claim to be?

How will you handle conflict within the group?

How intimate will your relationship with the girls be

Who is the Whispering Lady and what is her goal?

Very entertaining
Ignore the playtime, I come from Itch and just wanted to support the dev on Steam. Dang. We need more Western adult games that touch on the darker side of story telling. Horror smut is fucking neat. Cabin Corpse has a unique feel in a sea of adult visual novels that feel very samey (a trait that isn't inherently bad, but you can tell some love with shoved into this with force). It has a gritty 90's point and click feel to it that is refreshing to see. The sandbox elements, while simple enough to grasp straight away, is detailed enough to keep you engaged through the game play loop. Speaking of game play loops, Cabin Corpse rocks a 24hr day/night gameplay loop, which is a nice expansion of the usual day cycle you find in many visual novels. You'll find that characters move throughout the map and live their daily lives depending on the time of day, which really helps keep things from getting stale, a common issue I've had with sandbox visual novels. The music selection...
