About This Game

Project Silverfish is an immersive sim, FPS where you rely on your own wits and diverse sets of tools and weapons to survive!

Venture deep into a hostile and mysterious exclusion zone to hunt powerful artifacts, fight horrifying creatures and descend deeper into lost, cold-war era dungeons!

Solve complex mysteries, tracing the paths of other explorers, and digging up terrible secrets once lost to time.

Work to uncover the dark secrets of your people's origins, and humanity's extinction...

Choose between 6 distinct pre-made classes or customize your own Inheritor of humanity's ruin!
With a variety of perk rolls and game rules, you can create a unique experience each time you play!

A massive immersive sim world where you choose how you engage with problems and threats. With a mix of tense gun-play, diverse sets of tools and equipment, and no scripted solutions or hand-holding:

You are in-charge of your own decisions!

You are responsible for your own mistakes...

Delve into dark, hidden dungeons.

Navigate treacherous Anomalies.

Face hideous monsters born of a cursed past.

In The Exclusion Zone, you're not always just a hired gun, you're also going to need to apply detective skills and deductive reasoning to find answers...

Complete Contracts and Missions by exploring the world, chasing leads and finding clues! Sometimes the truth can be stranger than any anomaly or mutant...

Among the many mysteries of the Zone, there are also powerful artifacts.

They can grant passive buffs, or when charged with Eather, cast seemingly magical effects.

Some can even be crafted into exotic firearms, allowing you to exploit their secrets in combat!

Be careful, you're not the only one hunting out here...

Be prepared to discern friend from foe out in the field!

Several factions are vying for power out in the Zone. Some looking to control its secrets, others seeking to destroy the very source of its anomalies.

It's up to you to decide who you're willing to work with, or even join should they convince you...

My demo experience: >spend first 4 days refusing to do anything at night due to primitive fear >find night vision in locker >decide to myself "ok, now I can brave RG-East and complete that elimination contract" >stock up on ammo at RG-West and wish Dr. Mosby a good day >open RG-East and am immediately greeted with a primordial shriek that I feel in my bones >go to the quarantined zone and look at the fence and warnings >another shriek happens and I am pulled 100 feet forward, finding myself face to face with a full-black, 10-foot elk skull looking entity >mfw >I run away and jump off of a balcony >he pulls me back to him >MFW >I pull out my anti-material rifle and put four .50 caliber incendiary rounds into him >to my relief, he falls to the ground dead >in my primal state of panic, I forget that gunshots create noise, and a .50 caliber is very loud. >four acid-spewing enemies show up and start attacking me >I run away and get cornered in a lab >the four acid enemie...

Not a furry but literally the only part of the game that is is just the character models so it's really unobtrusive, otherwise it's a great S.T.A.L.K.E.R inspired game with a pretty good faction system. I hope this game gets the recognition it deserves

Uhhhhh.... I feel like I'm missing something here. This feels like a free-to-play game like Unturned. It looks very basic, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It plays very basic, but again, not necessarily a bad thing. But there's not much to Project Silverfish. I started, and my character was running around at light speed, opening up the rare few boxes that I could. I found some guns, and some cockroaches to eat. I tried the combat, which was very crude and basic. There wasn't any major draw here. It's not like the story and characters were completely engrossing. It's not like the combat was really chunky and detailed. The world itself was polygonal and empty. I have absolutely no idea why this is overwhelmingly positive. I love exploration FPSs and immersive sims. But I'm not sure what.... this thing... is. And for $30? Come on now. I feel like the dev is joking with us on that.

Imagine stalker but it's easier to digest, less eerie and a Autistic level of different guns and configurations. The developer went inside my brain and said "you got it" landmines, RPGs, NPCs that work against your strats! working lamps, candles, TVs and radios! If your a fan of fallout, stalker or Tarkov and want a THRILLING pausable looter shooter expirence, Step right up kings and queens.

Literally impossible to tell friend from foe without being so close its already too late if you're wrong. You can die from a single shot trying to get close enough to tell, problem is exacerbated if its not a fully lit environment and even under ideal conditions you gotta get within 10' of them. To make things worse you can't even save the damn game whenever you want and can easily lose a lot of progress. I mean, I get it, in the middle of the night its gonna be hard to tell who's who, but how can they immediately identify me as a target? The couple main factions I ran into can only be told apart by a colored band around them. One is red, they seems friendly enough, the other are orange and want you DEAD. RED and ORANGE and pretty similar colors! And so the whole saving problem, I get that some people might like that "difficulty" but not everyone. Either add a quicksave option, or more checkpoints. Even if you're near a loading zone that will save the game, you gotta decide if you...

Absurd how excellent this game is. Stalker 2 wishes it was only half as competent of a Stalker game than this one. Game is horrifying in the dark, Night Vision can't save you from EMP Anomalies, the lore is interesting, and absolutly NO handholding. You will get obliterated in your first hour of playing and it won't be your fault, game is balls hard.

The world/map? Boring, bland, and empty The guns? Boring, simplistic, and nearly all identical to each other, so far as to have the same reload animation The lore? It's a Stalker fanfiction written by someone who thought they could write better. (They can't) The factions? Boring, without any nuance, and clear favourites of the developers existing The looting? Unbelievably simplistic and boring. Not to mention the fact that enemies that die drop everything like a loot pinata. The survival mechanics? Eat food to enable health regen, that's it. The health system? A simple healthbar with no debuffs, no bleeding, no limb damage, nothing Do you want a setting that's like Stalker but instead of a diverse set of different interesting factions, you have: -Freedom but bandana wearing freedom fighters -Freedom but communist led by an invincible Mary Sue -The Military but it's NATO and EVIL -Loners Then do I have the setting for you You may also notice a theme with the factions. Infer from it wha...

Honestly, I'm probably one of the few that actually doesn't care for this game. For someone who grinds over 1000+ hours of Stalker GAMMA; I'm not into this one. Is the game bad? Absolutely not! I just feel like... the game is kinda bland. The customization is cool for the character (I really don't care for the furry stuff. I'm not 12 years old anymore raging over that stuff), there seemed to be a variety of weapons, and the atmosphere and anomalies actually felt really awesome (I think its strongest points tbh) but something just doesn't feel right. I know this game is in early access and it's not even done but I don't see why people are hyping up over this game. To me it feels skeletal compared to what people are saying. The progression in this game feels flat and meh. A lot of people compare this game to STALKER but I feel like STALKER has way more things to do than this game. Honestly though? If I could give this game a neutral rating, I would rather do that but with how I felt it...

Even this early in development its incredibly fun and stuffed full of things to explore. Adore the fact that resources actually feel scarce and the environment is exactly as hostile as you'd expect it to be in what feels a lot like furry stalker. Lookin' forward to seeing more

Game seems cool but not having a quick save is baffling for a stalker like game
