I like the concept of the game, but you currently have no real agency. You don't have any influence over the types of cards you draw, making it really easy to die to a bit of bad luck in not drawing food for a few turns. Cards seem to get 'better' over time, but many of the 'better' ones require you to have certain amounts of various resources to use them (minimum population, minimum happiness, etc.) making them useless if you are behind at all, and making it that much harder to catch up because some of your card draws are cluttered up with useless options, often resulting in you having to skip turns because you -can't- pick any of the options provided. Based on some of the challenge options, it seems like some of the advanced resources are supposed to give you benefits of some sort for having them, but I've yet to see them kick in, maybe due to not having enough, but the game currently has 0 tooltips or player information of any kind, so I don't really know.
