the guys did a great job, made a project with a soul and even in the "early access" the game looks very lovely. I wish you good luck in development, bought a support kit and I look forward to new successes from you!
It has some merit. It is certainly early access. A few things are clearly unpolished and could use attention, like the upgrade trees, but I think the fundamentals are there and the style is fine. I do wish the in game player models looked a lot less jank and more like the cover art, though. Also, it has orcs. Best pro.
This game has a lot of potential but as of right now the gameplay loop needs a lot of improvement. Following the boar around to track a monster is a cute idea but definitely needs more tightening up mechanics-wise (the bone feeding mechanic is a little poorly explained for example). When you actually fight a monster it feels like you're just flailing at it and there's no little to no feedback on how you're progressing plus when you do kill the monster there isn't really a sense of satisfaction yet like what you would get in something like monster hunter. That being said I would be down to try this game again as development on it progresses.
This is just not a great experience. I ran through a mission and it essentially boiled down to rapidly slapping at the enemy in front of me until it dies, rinse, repeat. It's boring. I also had some stuttering but am not sure if that's my PC or the game. Controls also felt a little unresponsive at times, like I had to aim pretty precisely just to pick items up off the ground and wall jumping felt wonky, making traversal feel broken.
This definitely looks like it'll be a lot of fun once it's finished, you can tell it's got a nice blend of Warcraft and Warhammer orc influences and there's a nice feeling to running around in the savannah with a few other orcs sticking a million spears into some giant bear or crocodile even in the early stages here.
