About This Game

After eons of being imprisoned by the Asgardian gods for his crimes and trickery, Loki has broken free and unleashed his army of loyal monsters to bring about Ragnarok in order to terrorize the realms and take revenge against the Norse gods. Fight back as one of your favorite gods to defeat Loki, his army, and avoid Ragnarok!

Defeat Loki's Loyal Army

Draugrs, ogres, wolves, and the Jotnar - they all fight for Loki and must be stopped! Defeat wave after wave of large hordes of monsters and bosses. Some monsters will chase you down relentlessly; others will try to shoot you with arrows and other projectiles. Learn how they attack and avoid getting hit!

Master each god's unique ability

Every god has their own, unique ability you can activate. Thor uses his lightning powers to double all of his stats, Sif channels the energy of the Bifrost to heal herself, and Odin summons Geri and Freki to mow down enemies. Each god's ability creates unique play styles!

Level Up and Gain Powerful Boons

When defeated, enemies will drop XP. Collect enough and you'll level up and get to choose from 3 powerful Boons! Boss enemies will also drop a Bifrost Shard that gives you access to unique Boons. Some Boons boost your stats, some give you new ways of attacking enemies and dealing damage. Collect as many as you can to build the ultimate overpowered god!

Permanently Upgrade Your Character

Gods never die! After dying or completing a run, you'll have the opportunity to spend your hard-earned Gold on permanent upgrades. Permanently boost stats for all gods to even the odds for future runs.

Completing certain objectives and earning achievements will also permanently unlock new characters to play as, as well as new Boons that will be added to the level up pool.

Explore hand-crafted maps to find hidden upgrades

Each map is hand-designed - no procedural generation here! Hidden within each of them are powerful Boons. Once you find them, they'll be permanently added to your available pool of Boons for future runs.

Current Early Access Features

  • 3 playable Norse god, each with unique stats and active abilities

  • 24 Boons

This is a solo dev's project to make their own version of Vampire Survivors and it's not bad. It plays competently and seems to be decently balanced. There is just not really anything super innovative to make it stand out in a sea of vampire survivors clones. That said, I'll leave a positive review because the game is cheap and doesn't really advertise to be anything its not. You can get your moneys worth for the small price even if there's not much content yet. Just to sum up some first impressions: Music - very different from VS, more metal. Fitting change. Health - Instead of HP there is a system of using hearts which is interesting and made it really important not to get hit until you find a way to regen through skills. (theres RNG health drops too but not really reliable enough to heal consistently) Gives the game some initial challenge to overcome. Active abilities are welcome and fun. Some areas to improve: I didn't even know there was meta progression stat boosts on my first ...

I know this is early access and things are (hopefully) going to change, but that's also what negative reviews are for, to draw attention to things that should change. The game itself i really not bad, but it seems like it released WAY too early without much internal playtesting going on, leading to following issues: 1. Stat increaes of 1 % (ONE. PERCENT.) in the shop? Really? I could understand it if they were continually cheap and going tup to higher numbers eventually, but capping out experience gain at like 5% seems so unnecessary and a waste of esources. 2. I've maxed out the level up options in my second run and now don't know what I am playing towards anymore on that map. There is no countdown timer, just a playtime that keeps going up. At this point, I don't know if there are still things to come or if the run will just continue endlessly, Looking at the achievements (which, to be fair, can be easily done mid run so thats a plus), there does seem to ba an end to a run, but cu...

Initial impressions were positive! I was just looking for a quick bullet heaven to spare some time and this one hit the spot. I think there's a solid framework here and the level design points of interest lean into that. I'm hoping there's more in the future because I would happily come back to play :)
