I hope everyone likes this so CC2 will actually do something! It does not matter how BEAUTIFUL you make a game... if it has the same netcode as Naruto Storm and matchmaking system as well, its going to fail the same way every time. People will play it while its hot but without a stable online system it will keep failing game after game. We LOVE the game, but they're not enjoyable online. They can be but for the most part its hindered and riddled by network issues, people abusing powerful mechanics like invincibility supers, and other issues like charge guard breaking which gives invincibility frames and breaks your guard. We love what you're doing but we've been asking for better netcodes since storm 2 or generation. We want a polished game, invite players who seriously play the game to give you their opinions on mechanics before flushing them out! A beta so to speak! It would help A LOT! This game is basically "What if Demon Slayer let you play the anime and look cool while mashing buttons?" --- Me: “Just gonna chill and do a few fights.” Game: hits me with anime cutscenes, combo explosions, and trauma in 4K Me: “Guess I live here now.” --- What I love: The fights look amazing. Every move feels like the anime. You can play as so many cool characters, including the Hashira. New team ultimates = double the chaos, double the fun. Story mode brings back all the good memories and hype moments. --- Final Thoughts: 10/10. Looks amazing, feels amazing, and even when I lose, I feel like the main character.

I love this video game. But, its online matches are currently unplayable. I have experienced a bug where every time the enemy escapes a combo the game experiences an error and ends the match. Because of this many matches end impediatly. I really want to recomend this game but it needs to patched fast.

Great game fundamentally but the PC port is very poorly optimized. Despite meeting all the system req's and then some, the game starts slowing down significantly after just a few fights. I play the game on the lowest possible graphics and this is still a continuous problem. Hoping they fix this before they start adding DLC.

Love this game but PC version is really annoying to play online thanks to bugs like most characters crashing the game if you grab with them/get grabbed by them and it also has a really bad netcode. The game also has some other issues like you always fighting against the same person even after refusing the rematch since you both probably start searching at the same time I think they should make it less likely to find the guy that you didn't want to rematch. I had to fight the same enmu with the worst connection on earth like 5 times and it could have been more if I didn't stop playing after the 5th one(btw F U enmu players). Then there is also the problem with online being really and I mean REALLY bad in this game no rollback netcode which feels criminal nowadays and even worse no crossplay so its great when you have friends that own different consoles! It´s crazy that in 2025 a 59.99€ game can´t have a functional online. Do not recommend buying this game.

This is a review purely from the perspective of being a fighting game player. Arena Fighters have a bad rep, and deservedly so, but I've always thought the sub-genre had some potential. Potential that a few games have tapped into to varying degrees of success but nothing has quite stuck the landing. Well I feel relatively confident in saying that this IS the game to stick the landing. The first Hinokami Chronicles was a solid foundation that needed a lot of polishing and this game has given it all that polishing (technical issues aside). Characters here all feel incredibly distinct from eachother, which should be expected but in this subgenre that can commonly be an issue. Neutral here feels a lot better than the first game, whiff punishing and spacing feels a lot more important and rewarding. Meter management of both your regular "special move" meter and super meter is incredibly important and new mechanics like the replacement combo or solo demons being able to juggle with boosts add...

Story is good, gamplay is good, i would give it a 8/10. it would be 10/10 if: 1) the price wasn't so expensive as the price they charge is matching AAA title games in the market. 2) there is a proper guide / tutorial for each character on some simple combo to maximize the damage output. 3) make it cross play so we could search other player easier online, otherwise it might takes forever to get a opponent with stable connection from both parties with this 3 point added, i would give it a 10 easily, other than that, not much of issue with this game. As of now, basically i need to search online or youtube to learn each character combo pattern which is kinda difficult and complicated, I just wish they could add on the command list by displaying it on the practice mode etc.

This game has pop-in. Yeah, a anime game that has pop-in. I re-downloaded the first game to see if it has these issues and nope, it doesn't. A sequel somehow works worse than its predecessor. Also, why are some scenes that were 60 FPS last game suddenly 30 FPS now? I guess 60 FPS is too much to ask in 2025 *sigh*. I'm personally done supporting these kinds of games. They feel more like lazy cash grabs nowadays than actual passion projects like the Storm games were.

I love Demon slayer but the online is a mess. I Realized many people were not accepting my matches on ranked. To my surprise it's because the games that all ended with an error communication message were all counting against me as disconnections to the point that i now have been temporarily banned for disconnections nice bandai...
