About This Game

CyberTaxi Lunatic Nights is a filled-with-firearms taxi driving simulator set in a dark-noir dystopian city, also known as Prison City, in which you play as a taxi driver who has to rescue his wrongfully accused sister. As you sit tight behind the driving wheel you have to complete fares and unique missions, battle against lurking thugs that reside within the city and always maintain your fuel level to successfully arrive to the destination.

Main game features:

  • Full-scale taxi driving simulator - battery and ignition fuel mechanics, dynamic weather conditions, real-time suspension and full-scale driving cockpit with headlights and wipers;

  • Unique fares & missions system – your customers will always order you to do some additional activities, even despite driving from point A to point B you have to find someone’s keys in a sewage system, kill thugs in abandoned school or find a missing cat in old church;

  • Gentle Delivery system – deliver a pizza or an old Pirate ship in a bottle in one piece as the gentle item has its health bar;

  • Retro-style plot based on movies from the 80s and 90s which focuses on finding a missing sister who was wrongfully accused and imprisoned in dreadful Prison City;

  • Weapons and armor systems – use various types of weapons to destroy your enemies and opponents. Also, buy vehicle shields at workshop service stations to reinforce the hull of your taxi;

  • Taxi customization - customize your taxi in various service stations;

  • On-foot action – you can enter or exit your taxi anywhere you need and some missions (fares) will even require you to do so in order to explore a certain area;

  • Comprehensive interaction systems – interact with various objects and items, find and take part in various minigames scattered across Prison City;

  • Customer mood system – each customer has a different mood and will rate your driving style while you get to the extraction spot;

I'm gonna be fair to this game. It is early access, it's new, and it hasn't been out long. What do I like so far? So far, I like the driving portion The dialogue is cringe, but it's also funny because it sounds like they are saying outlandish shit with a straight face. It seems like their reasoning for doing stuff is a bit wild, almost like GTA logic. I think the standing shooting civilians are a fun little gimmick. What could be improved upon? The AI's driving. They get stuck very easily, if a car is in front, they wont reverse or try to move out of the way. I dont particularly like the ai constantly shooting, I get there is repair stations and stuff all around, but this is just my personal preference. It makes it feel less alive and more like a one of those top down dodging course games. Driving, the turning, braking, etc can definitely be improved upon. Tutorial doesn't tell you half of the controls. The AI instead of focusing on who they are fighting, when you get close they imm...

I was shocked that it runs on the Steam Deck with default settings. While I didn't have a ton of time to play, what I did see was very hopeful for the future. I am genuinely looking forward to seeing the updates roll out on this, and I can't wait to get home and fire it up on my main rig! For those other Deck owners, yes, the game already has onscreen prompts for controller prompts alongside keyboard prompts. Things can only get better from here.

This game is literally unplayable. Controller doesn't work so I don't even have one plugged in but its decided I do and made all the control hints for controller instead of keyboard. Can't remap the keyboard controls at all. Can only get as far as entering the taxi. Once you figure out all the keys for lights, wipers, ignition, etc via trial and error because its labelled all controls for a controller it doesn't support, the car doesn't move. Ive hit every single key on my keyboard and it doesn't move despite the car running and my character saying "now we're driving". I saved and quit and then couldn't load my save at all. New game is my only option. Nothing I do will make this game progress beyond getting into my cab. It CANNOT be played whatsoever.

its fun but its really rough around the edges, im a pure keyboard and mouse player so certain things like the lockpicking dident make sense to me, took me a while to figure out how to fire the guns on the car, but this is one hourish in, the voices are a bit jaring but thats temp voices for you, i hope you keep working on it and you could have an amazeing gem here. i recomend for as long as its getting updates

The game is in a very rough state even for an early acces game. I dont mind the game beeing underdeveloped. Altough this game just feels bad right now. If the developer pushes through and fixes a lot of things, i can see this game become something interesting. Issues: - Very clunky controll. Horrible crouch (the camera just spawns lower). You can do a 360 spin meanwhile sitting in the car, etc) - Insanely high PC requirement. Dont tell me, that i can run Dying Light 2 with 60 FPS, but i cant make this game run on 50. - Inconsistent UI choices. Like Why do I have to press space sometimes to get rid of a dialogue, and sometimes it asks me to click on the button? Also the car shows you the way with an arrow at the beginning, but after you enter the city, its just a yellow marker in that direction. - There is no reason to walk on foot in the game as of now. Enemies drop no loot, you cant interact with anything. - The tutorial doesnt tell you most of the controlls properly. - Shooting fee...

The Escape from New York / LA inspired game we didn't know that we needed, and I am glad it is here. Still early but enjoying how they are approaching immersion and shooting. Just secured the Taxi dispatch station and excited to continue. That Escape From inspired opening brought a HUGE smile to my face. Looking forward to this game getting polished and evolving over time.

This game has a very cool concept and aesthetic. CyberTaxi is a open world sandbox driving simulator that takes place in a dystopian world where all prisoners in the United States are sent to a walled off city where crime runs rampant. You are a taxi driver who is in the city trying to save your sister but while you do that you gotta make money by driving in a heavily modified taxi that is built like a Mad Max car. Aesthetically this game is a mix between the movie Taxi Driver 1979, the movie The Fifth Element, Twisted Metal, Carmegeddon, with a little bit of Cyberpunk. Gameplay wise it's a taxi simulator with vehicle combat, plus a bit of Skyrim's dungeon crawling. HOWEVER! although this gameplay in concept is cool being that this game is still in early access, it is kind of scuffed, buggy, and rough around the edges. 1. The game heavily wants the player to drive around in first person, because most of the useful info about your car's status is only shown in the first person mod...

Perfectly captures the atmosphere of Quarantine and Carmageddon! Its a low budget pre-release, but already I cant put it down and have to keep playing it! Hope creators can make some cash and maybe in the future release a AAA version.
