I don't care about the implied politics at SGF; the game itself feels really, *really* generic and uninspired. Splitgate 1 was fantastic until the cheaters took over. It clearly had soul put into the game, despite the amateurish development of the game. This game feels like a completely soulless, generic, Call of Duty wannabe slop game. Portals might as well not exist with how limited their usage has become from Splitgate 1.

For those who like cosmetics, move on, the developers are on another planet. Paying for weapon skins isn't normal, but we've learned to accept it, but this is abuse. The game is good, but the prices displayed in the store are a huge joke. A game that's not leading the gaming industry in the right direction.

Don't let all these clowns leaving negative reviews sway you away from playing this incredible game. Yes it takes practice to get better at and using the portals is difficult at first, but practice makes perfect. This game and development team is incredible and will continue to improve over time. Give this game a chance and you will not regret it.

Put the stupid politics aside and play the game. SG2 is an amazingly fun, fast-paced, and cerebral shooter! Fluid as hell with amazing movement to match. I love the skill gap it presents, as thinking with portals truly levels up your game. I'm hooked on coming up with ways to use portals for style plays. Fair warning - though this is an FPS, the portals are going to frustrate a lot of people if they don't embrace them and try to utilize them to their advantage. In the long run, you won't get by too well without them IMO, but trust me, use them! It is a ton of fun and it feels so freaking good to pull off crazy stuff after you get used to it. If you are familiar with Takedown, the Battle Royal mode is just a larger scale version of it really. I am not that big a fan of BRs, didn't ask for a BR, didn't expect a BR, but boy what they have here is different in great ways. I understand that people hear the buzzword and get a bad taste in their mouths, but with the respawn timers, you ...

Good balance of movement and weapon selection, I can see this expanding into the perfect fps. I'd say, it takes about 30 hours to feel really comfortable. Enjoy!
