About This Game

A rebuilt version of the acclaimed puzzle adventure game, now playable on Steam Deck and Windows!

OneShot, one of the highest user-rated titles on Steam, has been completely rebuilt for modern portable consoles. With an entirely new engine, new UI, new hidden collectibles, support for more platforms, and more, OneShot WME features world-bending puzzles, intriguing denizens, surreal environments, and a captivating story that reveals the truth of the game's reality.

Players will interact with a strange computer operating system--a window into an alternate world. Together with Niko, a child who is also a stranger to this place, they work to rekindle the long dead sun and – hopefully – save everyone.

But remember, you only have One Shot.

Features

Niko is cute. Your opinion doesn't matter. Also the game made me cry several times.

Re-writing my review after beating the main game and Solstice. I am crying, yet at peace. This has to be one of the most beautiful games I have every played. I want this review to exist as a reminder to myself. NPCs, a game or not, I will not forget the world. I will not forget the people. I will not forget Niko. I feel like I can die at peace knowing I played Oneshot. I did what I was supposed to and I did the right thing. Goodbye, Niko.

This game has countless heartfelt moments, and characters you'll remember long after you finish the game. The 4th wall will be broken, and so will your heart. (in a good way)

Convinced it's physically impossible to feel anything else but appreciation and love for this game. Love this world, and its characters so much. They deserve a happy ending, so play it!

Phenomenal remake of the game. New collectible system, a few dialog reworks here and there... overall, generally the same game as the original but with free movement instead of grid movement. Still the same incredible soundtrack, story, sprites, characters, world design, puzzles, endings and more, but with some bonus stuff to look for. The only real negative is of course the removal of the games interaction with your computer files, of course due to W.M.E. being the console port. Overall, still an 11/10 game. Absolutely worth playing.

This is one of my favorite games I've played. Everything is perfect here, the music is perfectly set to the location, the characters you empathize with and feel sad for them. The locations themselves are also very memorable. And the most important star of my review is Niko. Niko's character is an 8-9-year-old child who finds himself in an unknown world who wants him to save him. And you'll have to make a very difficult choice for him... Save Niko or Save the world, but Niko then.... If so, the choice is yours. Thank you for reading my review. And yes, world machine, thank you for making a nice interface.
