Edit: apparently one of the devs died, thus the delay / cancelation. I am now convinced that the dev team just kinda gave up on making this game. Need further proof? Check the date of the last update. Also the game is very lacking as is. Supposedly the game is fun if you can manage to find a friend to fight. Problem is, the online fight option NEVER works for me.

About This Game
Our first release: "Kaijuland Battles" features 4 cartoony kaiju from the (now sadly defunct) Kaijuland game. This is our "bare bones" release - we'll iterate to really tune our core combat mechanics & controls during Early Access.
Our next CKC game (The Fall of Nemesis) launches next year with 9 original characters designed & voted on by our fans, and 2 special boss characters designed by guest contributors Jeremy Robinson & Monster Attack Team.
CKC features 1-4 players, online or off. Gamepad control only - YOU MUST HAVE A GAMEPAD TO PLAY!
To submit your own character for a future title, or just to join in our lively kaiju discussion, visit our forums!

Looks can be deceiving, and that is truly the case with this hugely fun multiplayer monster brawler, if you enjoyed the old Godzilla games then you need to buy this, furthermore this games fun factor goes up 10X when playing with friends so go support the developers right now and buy Kaiju Combat, and dont forget you've probably spent more money on lunch then the price of this game
Now, I have a long history of loving Godzilla and its series whether it is the movies, or the videogames. The Godzilla Unleashed producer Simon Strange decided to bring back the feeling of the games by making his own version of a monster fighting game, bringing back all the mechanics from Godzilla Save the Earth, and the feeling of being a monster in a free-for-all or 2v2 fight. The game is in Alpha which means its still being produced, so a few bugs and a lack of content will probably be noticed throughout your gameplay. There is only one map to play on as of now, a total of only 4 playable characters, single player is pretty ideal since you do in fact need other controllers to play the game with friends, and I cannot speak about its online mode and my experience since literally nobody plays online. Aside from those things, as a Godzilla fan, I choose not to care about those things, because knowing the creator of this game and the fan base Godzilla has now and days, this game will be ...
This game is very early stage, and it honestly is not living up to expectations by any means.
Thumbs up :). I like the game it improved by alot. I can't wait until the sequel is out and ready to play!
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/14214732/kaiju-combat-giant-monsters-awesome-fighting-onlin/posts/1737715 Not being worked on anymore.
I was able to win every match by hitting the A button over and over again. Boring as hell with clunky controls, which in the end doesn't even matter because just jamming a single button is enough to win every time.
Do not buy this game. The developers abandoned it a long time ago and it's nowhere close to a complete product. Stay away from Sunstone Games. Stay away from Colossal Kaiju Combat.
This game is either a scam or dead in the water, I know some furry was causing havoc with this game so i cant blame the devs if its dead apparently there was a long harassment campaign brought on by one backer who essentially forced the game to be all about his OC. I also read online one of the Devs died of Covid so that could be setting things back too, either way heres my review: Boot up game Think its not optomized or broken so i check for solutions there are none try my own none work turns out you need to wait on a black screen for 20 minutes to get the game to go to the main menu read the game is running off the same engine they used on Godzilla saves the earth.... a game thats like 15 years old now Try to refund game steam wont let me 0/10 very disappointed seeing as all the old monster games i used to play were amazing but i guess Unity is really hard to use and or the furry found all the devs and killed them either way we will never see another giant monster fighting game ev...
unfortunately its dead. this was made by the same guys who made godzilla destroy all monsters melee, had high hopes since their kickstarter, was supposed to be a ton of monsters... but it turned out to be the launch monsters and launch maps.. literally no progress was made since i purchased it. save your money and go play your gamecube/wii emulator
