One of the best works as a reinterpretation of "Suika Game"
As for its gameplay, I have to say it's so enjoyable. Dennis has succeeded in solving some problems from the original Suika. The origin has cute looks but the gameplay is strict. Of course, we feel good in the first few attempts, however it often gets too hard to play enjoying. Whereas Hitobashira takes a different way. Indeed that has odd looks but the gameplay is so easy to have fun. Compared to the origin, we can merge the pieces (humans) more easily in Hitobashira. It seems like they have a bigger collision detection. Additionally, when you merge the pieces, they get a small explosion. With this, sometimes we can overcome difficult situations. In short, Hitobashira's situations tend to change at any timing. You don't have to give it up in the middle. Because of the weird motif, that might be bought by only a few players and difficult to recommend for your friends or children, however, its gameplay is worth cha...

I am quite angry about how good this game is. I like Suika and Suika clones way too much and this game is a great innovation on the genre. Visually, Hitobashira reminds me of a few things, like Yume Nikki, Yume 2kki, Cruelty Squad, LSD: Dream Emulator, and more. I love all of these, and always welcome more weird psychedelic over-stimulation epileptic death-sentence games! It's just so. Weird. And I love that. Suika is usually supposed to be slow and calming, but not this one. It's loud, weird, colorful, and hellish. The character designs? if you can call them that? Is great. I love that it's all randomized, except for a few, and that they're tied to the achievements instead of score. My only issue with this game is that it seems to not have a volume slider? That's it. That's all I want. This game is perfect otherwise.
