It follows a similar approach to the Exit 8 in a find the anomalies style game Unfortunately even though its looks like a pretty good and all around well made game, the reason i wouldnt recommend it its because : Since there is not a different approach between the scenarios "There is an anomally" and "There is not an anomally around" you can simply just go straight forward until you find the huge yellow paper that clearly instruct you to find the anomalies and then (after you find it) you, again, just go straight forwars again... This clearly makes the game too easy and short. The only reason to find it difficult in the start its because the game does not make the rules clear from the first place so until you figure it out by yourself, you gonna spend some minutes looking around for anomalies like a madman. This made me feel like the whole game was a visual representation rather than an interactive experience. Thats why i prefer Exit 8 rather than this. Conclusion : It was cool i gu...

This was a fun anomaly game with puzzles. Some of the train cars involve figuring out how to 'solve' the anomaly or get passed it without dying. None were too difficult to figure out, although it took a few tries.
If you leave the train during the fog, you will have to close and re-launch the game...lol.
The ending was definitely a twist after playing Exit 8...

This is sequel to Exit 8 is better and worse than that game in some ways. The scares are significantly better; I specifically play with both headphones and in a dark environment for all horror games for the best experience and yeah, this game was noticeably scarier. Not by a large amount, but I can see some people preferring this one over Exit 8 for the better horror. However, the main flaw with this game, which isn't the biggest deal but it is actively annoying and needs to be kept in mind, is that half the time, it really is not clear at all what you're supposed to do to progress, and sometimes, you'll even stay in the current room (or segment of the train I suppose) thinking it's the right play when you're actually meant to move on. Overall, I think the two changes balance each other out. Like Exit 8, this gets a 7/10 from me, but unlike Exit 8, expect a somewhat longer playtime (in part, due to the confusing progression); probably around half an hour more than that game.

#FIXUE5 Хуже, чем оригинальная игра. Плохой хоррор на худшем движке в истории. Half Life 2 выглядит лучше. Half Life 1 выглядит лучше!

Having first played Exit 8, I was expecting more of the same. It actually builds on itself with having to survive some of the anomalies instead of just spotting them and running the other way. Vibe was definitely creepier in this one. And I liked that you have to 100% the anomalies to get the true ending. Since its all random, I think some of the reviewers here rushed it and maybe didn't run into some of the crazier anomalies you need to survive. Dying or rushing on ahead not finding the anomaly does erase your overall progress as it did in Exit 8.

Platform 8 is a simplistic walking simulator that relies on basic jump scares to sell itself. The game is rather short with no real story or sense of progression, It is just an endless loop of walking between railcars while trying to not get yoinked by the game's mechanic's. Games Greatest Strength: Jump Scares. Games Greatest Weakness: Walking Simulator.
