Rebel Galaxy is a swashbuckling space adventure, with action-packed combat, exploration, discovery, trade, and “negotiation” with the outlandish denizens at the edge of the known universe.

As the commander of an immensely powerful star destroyer, you’ll battle pirates, explore anomalies, befriend aliens, scavenge battle wreckage, mine asteroids, and discover artifacts. Choose your path as a roguish do-gooder, crafty space-trader or power-hungry privateer – or maybe a little of each! Buy larger and more powerful craft with your hard-earned credits, and outfit them with a variety of wicked weapons and defenses. Cowboy space trucker, I keep coming back to this every few years to get in some more pew pew on this surprisingly enjoyable game. You can focus on trade or just blowing up the pirates or joining the pirates. Your not getting hundreds of hours out of this but its great to unwind to after work

A space-truckin' western with naval combat, customizable ship, and vibrant galactic colors? Absolutely one of my all-time favorite games. Its got its fair share of jank & bugs, but it's forgivable for it's uniqueness. The custom soundtrack feature is great, too. I pipe in heavy spaced-out doom metal to push the colossal dreadnaught vibes. The story is pointless, but the combat and merchant runs are very satisfying. Plus, like, SPACE, man.
