Overall it's pretty promising game - and surely in playable state - but there are hotfixes that need to be done. Enemies camping at players death spot forbidding to pick up gear are not fun, nor are every night raids. Also 1st boss should be fixed - you aggro him once and he chases you all around the map (that's the spirit!). Friendly fire to your house should be off and some kind of loot filter would be nice. In the other hand - game hits the spot between fast and slow gameplay, has nice, yet simple visuals (weather effects are gold!) and loot stats / skills upgrades are simple and fun. Looking foward with great interest, nice job, Dev!

Game where you choose warrior, pirate, scholar and then wash up on shore and fight thousands of battles in an attempt to build enough stuff to stay ahead of the hordes of repetitive mobs. There are a few spells/skills per class and you can upgrade them once you build your base completely up. Most mobs are trash but starred mobs will occasionally drop something other than virtual pocket lint. I'd suggest waiting for the full release before purchasing the game. I think it'll be good eventually but right now it's a mess with mobs respawning very fast and having uninteresting loot. Resources do not respawn so you're constantly moving into more and more dangerous zones but the loot doesn't keep up. Also, there is vastly too much random mobs to make for an enjoyable experience. The game was in a much better state earlier and I'm sure balance will be restored eventually.
I think this game has a lot of potential. However, there are a few aspects that I think needs to be fixed/changed/implemented. First: I think the developers need to slow down the raiding from NPCs. I'm in my early stage of base development and getting raided already. I understand it's easy but they still damage the base. Second: I really would like the game to prevent you from damaging your own base when trying to do things in the game such as craft, and killing NPCs. I also understand that it's a reality function but come on, the movement is already kinda choppy. Third: When building, please give us an option to move things around after they are already built. I spend more time destroying stuff and rebuilding than I do gathering resources and exploring. Fourth: The game needs a little bit more map functions such as placing markers, allowing us to type our own text, and allowing the map to be customizable in a sense where we can have a mini map on at all times instead of the map t...
I do like the idea of arpg+valheimish world - but the game has bugs, get laggy and still I finished all content in 5h (including afk time). you decide if its worth the price tag
Path of Exile meets Valheim if it were the year 2000. Sloppy and hard, but I like it.
This game is a better version of Valheim, imo. One button handles all resource gathering, if you have the correct tool. Left click is melee attack, right click is ranged attack. I loved that! Not having to equip my pick to mine only to be attacked and have to switch to a weapon, as happens in Valheim, was enjoyable. High points for me include: [list] [*]I found resource gathering fun. Resources include wood, rocks, various metals, meats and skins from animals. Then there are drops from monsters and crates and chests that have washed up on shore. [*]Crafting pulls from area, so no having to get all ingredients into inventory. I LOVE this! [*]The tutorial was nice and led me through it and I appreciated it. Death is the usual dropping of all gear and having to run back and get it. The teleport system, once I got that up and running, made death less tedious than it might otherwise be. [*]Gear is fun and varied, in terms of the bonuses it gives to skills. As with most game...
The game is in an extremely rudimentary state, but I like the direction its going. I am happy to spend $30 to support an indy dev but I wouldn't be able to recommend the game until its much further along.
Leaving a good review because the game is actually really fun. It's like Valheim meets Exile . BUT PLEASE ADD BETTER ROOFS MY OCD IS KILLING ME. The building system is really lacking. OH AND CHILL DADDY with the nightly raids. It's not needed.
Probably the most promising survival exilelike on steam right now. Really hits that sweet spot of adding mechanics from both genres without overpowering the other. The core gameplay loop is solid and I'm really excited to watch it grow over the years.
At current state i feel the game has extremely low content for the asking price. It is extremely repetitive, loot system is extremely awful. Got bored after 1h of game play... I believe the game should cost $5 or less at this stage.
