It would be an ok game as a phone app but that about it. Very dissappointed with the product and waist of money, hopefully they are kind enough to refund.

Game Story
On June 30th, 1908 a mysterious explosion took place over the Tunguska River in Siberia, Russia that wiped out trees and wildlife for over 800 square miles. To this day it remains the largest “impact event” in our planet’s recorded history. In the years that followed, dozens of scientific expeditions to the site attempted to explain the disaster but failed to come to any conclusions. In the mid-1940s however, a team of scientists from the Russian secret service visiting the site stumbled upon the wreckage of an alien spacecraft containing technology that far exceeded our own. In the years that followed, the KGB set to work harnessing this mysterious new power source and created a new secret weapons program - The Division of Advanced Weaponry or "O.S.O."
They thought they could control the new power they’d discovered, but it began to do more than run their machines. It began to drive the men working on it mad. The man in charge of the O.S.O., General Yuri Petrakoff, seemed particularly affected and on April 14th, 1949, Petrakoff launched a full scale assault on Europe.
One of Petrakoff’s lead engineers, Jesper Teterev, went AWOL and left the program early, wary of what was happening there. He went to live in secret with his sister, Isabel and niece, Allison. While in hiding however, Jesper (with the help of budding engineer and pilot Allison) was busy building his own mechanized war machine, called the XP-41, certain it may be needed one day to stave off the O.S.O.'s evil creations. He was right.
Gameplay
MechRunner is an endless-style action game mixed with fast and furious mode-changing mech action! It is a "runner" in that the player is constantly moving forward while tracking down lethal O.S.O. forces but what makes it special is that you’re piloting a giant robot capable of some serious destruction! Other endless runners feature action elements, but none like this. Heat seeking missiles, heavy caliber bullets, laser cannons, and concussion bombs meet destructible buildings, debris littered streets, and tons of slice-able enemies to create a fast paced, visually stunning experience!
A typical game may take anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes to play. The higher your skill, the longer the game, the more rewards you will collect, and the more content you will unlock!

You have to play this game to appreciate it. Its a fun mashup of racing and shooter. First off its a rail shooter, you are essentially driving ahead whether you like it or not, dodging junk piles and shooting things, its a really cool concept executed nicely. Once you have encountered a boss, then and only then you stop, shooting out power thingies that power the bosses shields should be your first priority, after that you can lay waste to him. The graphics are amazing! Pretty decent movement and controls, took a bit to get used to tho. I never heard of this game until I got a drop from crafting with a 50% off voucher. If you like shmups at all, its a must have, its a very unique experience. I have never played a game quite like it and I have been gaming since the 70's.
I like Mechs. I like Runners. I do not like MechRunner. I thought this game looked awesome from some clips of it and especially the screenshots, so I'm disappointed that actually playing it isn't an enjoyable experience, if not a complete mess. Whereas other runner games are fluid and you can rapidly dodge or take out enemies while racking up a ton of points, I found this to be incredibly clunky with a strange stop/go/stop/go gameplay to clumsily line up shots at enemies who are obstructing your path from you progressing past them, which kills most all of the momentum and enjoyment of swiftly dealing with enemies when the controls and abilities themselves seem pretty weak or inaccurate to do much with. I imagine you can unlock better abilities later but the game seemed to want the player to grind the same areas and enemies in order to unlock the cooler stuff you could later customize your mech with. However, what I had used of the mech's equipment all felt pretty bland and some o...
Strangely addictive. Fun blast 'em up.
Has a very steep learning curve. Be sure to check out the controls in the menu first. Very fast. Very fun.
Good concept, good presentation, bad implementation. Mechrunner is a rail-shooter/runner game that entails driving a robot/tank transformer through various locations while shooting at various stuff. When you have a game built around a fast paced gameplay, such in the runner genre, you expect controls to be simple and/or flow easily. The controls in this are a mess. While you can rebind then, it doesn't solve the underlying issue of them just being awkward. Such as, having to constantly mash the shooting buttons to fire, you can't just hold down the trigger, because that gives you a charged shot that isn't nearly as effective as just rapid firing. Which, the rapid firing then results in not being able to play longer than a few minutes because you're just going to cramp your fingers by repeatedly trying to shoot while also moving at high speed trying to dodge stuff. Map designs are mostly decent to look at and decently well designed, except that the hit boxes on mech when trying to do...
