About This Game

Konami Digital Entertainment continues forth the ‘METAL GEAR SOLID V Experience’ with the latest chapter, METAL GEAR SOLID V: The Phantom Pain. Ushering in a new era for the franchise with cutting-edge technology powered by the Fox Engine, MGSV: The Phantom Pain will provide players a first-rate gaming experience as they are offered tactical freedom to carry out open-world missions.

Nine years after the events of MGSV: GROUND ZEROES and the fall of Mother Base, Snake a.k.a. Big Boss, awakens from a nine year coma. The year is 1984. The Cold War serves as the backdrop as nuclear weapons continue to shape a global crisis. Driven by revenge, Snake establishes a new private army and returns to the battlefield in pursuit of the shadow group, XOF.

The METAL GEAR SOLID team continues to ambitiously explore mature themes such as the psychology of warfare and the atrocities that result from those that engage in its vicious cycle. One of the most anticipated games of the year with its open-world design, photorealistic visual fidelity and feature-rich game design, MGSV: The Phantom Pain will leave its mark as one of the hallmarks in the gaming industry for its cinematic storytelling, heavy themes, and immersive tactical gameplay.

Key Features:
- Open-World game design allowing players ultimate freedom on how to approach missions and overall game progression
- Fox Engine delivers photorealistic graphics, thoughtful game design and true new-generation game production quality
- Online connectivity that carries the experience beyond the consoles to other devices to augment the overall functionality and access to the game.

a lot of people will say this game is unfinished.. because it is, but that doesnt stop it from being one of the best games i have ever played before. the gameplay is unmatched and the base management feels satisfying and can feel incredibly rewarding.

Probably one of the best stealth games of all time. Worth playing just for the stealth gameplay. Gives so much variety of weapons and equipment to choose from. The plot twist in the story was so unexpected. Story is also kinda incomplete,
Like what happens to Eli and Sahelanthropus?
Graphics are really good for a 2015 game.

The best playing Metal Gear Solid by far. Everything feels so smooth and satisfying. That said, it’s impossible to ignore that the game just feels unfinished. Chapter 2, in particular, comes across as abrupt and stitched together.

MGS V is a paradox: it has some of the best stealth mechanics ever put into a game, wrapped inside a half-finished, console-first experience that was abandoned years ago. The good: Sandbox stealth and gunplay are fantastic. Enemy AI reacts dynamically and forces you to adapt. Huge freedom in how you approach missions. The bad: The story is incomplete. After Mission 30 it falls apart, with repeated missions instead of real content. Entire arcs were cut, and “Chapter 3” was never finished. No updates in nearly 10 years. What you buy today is the exact same broken package from launch. Made for controllers — menus, radial wheels, and even simple things like opening doors feel clunky on keyboard & mouse. UI sounds are intrusive and can’t be disabled separately. Small frustrations pile up. Verdict: It’s lorded as a masterpiece, but what we got is half a game. If you’re looking for a complete story or a polished PC experience, you won’t find it here.

Where can I start with this masterpiece of a game? Hideo Kojima was on one when he decided to make an open world Metal Gear Solid game but he wanted to make more, much more! He made a game where you manage Mother Base, train your troops, develop new gear and plan your missions! All while you are getting sucked into a narrative by an expert game maker. It's a rare gem that will hold up for many years. Fun to this day. Give it a try and it will be sure to convince you of the perfection of the phantom pain! *Now go! Let the legend come back to life!*

The game’s story is highly engaging and gripping as you’d expect from master Kojima. The gameplay is decent nothing groundbreaking, but solid overall. The Reflex mode adds a nice touch, especially for players like me who enjoy slow-motion shooting moments it’s really fun. The level-up system is also very satisfying and definitely one of the game’s strong points. However, what I didn’t enjoy were the side missions. In my opinion, they lacked variety, felt almost identical, and there were just too many of them, which made the experience tiring for me. Overall, it’s a game you can absolutely play without knowing the story of the previous titles. That said, for the best experience, I’d recommend playing Ground Zeroes first.
