I think they spent more time on the stripper jiggle physics than playtesting some of the levels.
Metro: Last Light Redux takes the strong foundation of Metro 2033 and builds upon it. The story felt more engaging this time around. Most likely because I was already familiar with the world, which made it easier to follow the unfolding events. The improvements in voice acting are noticeable, and the game’s atmosphere remains as tense and immersive as ever. The gunplay is a standout feature. Each weapon feels weighty and powerful, with a design that fits seamlessly into the gritty, post-apocalyptic setting. While I was a bit disappointed not to spend time with Ulman, characters like Khan, Anna, and the Dark Ones more than made up for it. Their backstories and development added real depth to the narrative. The DLCs were also a pleasant surprise. Experiencing familiar missions from new perspectives offered fresh insight, and I found the nine short add-ons as enjoyable as the main campaign itself. Overall, I ended up enjoying Metro: Last Light Redux even more than Metro 2033. I...
I played Metro Last Light on Spartan which contrasts how I played Metro 2033 on Survival. These were the intended ways to play each game per the game mode selection options. I prefer the more survival horror approach that I had in Metro 2033. There was a lack of tension in Last Light and that may have been a result of my play style. I still went through every level that I could as stealthily as possible. This led to an absolute abundance of ammo which made an action series extremely forgiving. I never had that experience in Metro 2033. I'm sure that playing in survival would have changed how tense I was throughout the game. However, I do think that Metro Last Light is a better game than Metro 2033. The gunplay is snappier, the visuals are clearer, and the world feels even more expanded upon with much more open-ended levels on the surface. I'd recommend playing through this game on Survival if you want an experience similar to the original or Spartan if you want to play a more typical ...
The usual atrocious childish dialogue, but in a very atmospheric game, with quite a few nice standout moments. Quite a few chapters too, even some bonus ones when you finish the game.
Metro: Last Light picks up directly after the events of Metro 2033, continuing Artyom’s journey without missing a beat. Now a full-fledged member of the Spartan Order, you’re tasked with finishing the job from the first game—eliminating the mysterious Dark Ones. Naturally, things don’t go according to plan, and the story wastes no time throwing you back into the web of politics, betrayal, and survival that defines life in the Metro. The narrative is rich with tension and shifting allegiances. Early on, you rescue prisoners from a Nazi camp, only to be captured and manipulated by the Red Line—Russia’s authoritarian faction—who attempt to pull you into their ideology. As the story unfolds, you discover the Red Line is secretly developing a chemical weapon, forcing you to risk everything to warn the Spartan Order, knowing it could bring retaliation to your own people. The pacing is excellent, balancing slow-burn suspense with intense set pieces, and characters like Khan add...
not sure if this or Exodus is my favorite in the trilogy but this game is an all-timer imo. just one of the best.
Great story with nice gameplay. The devs put blood, sweat and tears ( literally) in this game and it's shows.
I consider this game on par with Exodus. Having the game start with the bad ending of 2033 as canon really throws that "instincts over basic life" feel at you. The world of Metro, both in the tunnels and on surface, is grim, brutal and unforgiving and the game watches and judges your every action and moment, rewriting the future, whether you face off against other humans or mutants or paranormal phenomena. And if you go guns blazing, are you really all that better than them - whoever "they" might be? Game has some jank, but otherwise has great atmosphere. It reminds you that you can still be human and try living a decent life in the post-apocalypse.
Jugablemente mejor que el primero, no me ha crasheado en ningún momento y mucho mejor optimizado, pero la historia me ha parecido bastante meh.
