About This Game

Cubed and Dangerous is a challenging action roguelike shooter that seamlessly merges elements of Action RPG build-crafting with the thrill of perma-death roguelike gameplay. Recruit new procedurally generated heroes by completing campaign runs, all based off of the 14 unlockable character classes in the game. Grow your collection, cultivate massive power, and take on the cumulative challenge modes or the Infinite Desert.

Collect a massive arsenal of items and weapons that use a procedurally generated augmentation system, where no two items will ever be the same.

Upgrade your best gear even further at the Forge as you constantly shift and change your build to face the challenges ahead.

Acquire powerful game-warping relic items by defeating capstone act bosses, each presenting unique gameplay behaviors and challenges. Bosses have unique weak points and disadvantages to discover and exploit as you refine your skills.

Chart your path through the overworld, choosing risk/reward as you see fit. Choosing higher danger in your path results in access to more drops and collectables; but push your luck too far and you could face an untimely end. Find towns along the way for a relaxing reprieve and some helpful upgrades.

Unlock challenge modes, characters, items and more, ensuring endless replayability. Create a strong enough build and you can take on the Infinite Desert and push it to its limits.

Basic and boring. Becomes overly repetitive in map, objective, and gameplay design within the first hour.

It's a fun twin stick shooter! Lots of options but not overwhelming either. The art style really drew me in.

Awesome little game!! Not the best looking BUT it got very solid gameplay with a real feeling of challenge and enjoyment. Not a fan of the UI as it looks basic and kinda ugly. The compare feature doesn't really work for me as I would like it to compare, side by side, the new weapon VS the weapon I'm actually holding in a nice, easy to see UI. Not finding much useful stuff in shops, they tend to just show me rubbish and I'm not up for re rolling as I'm not a gambler. Doing so did not really improve the results. Map isn't the easiest thing to read during the action. Could be clearer/bigger/better. The action is great. The feeling that you're not welcome is awesome. The overwhelming waves are great and offer some real tactical, skillful ideas to be born. Just wish it felt a little bit nicer all over. Some more effort into the graphical presentation would be awesome. Better guns and explosions. More scenary. But these things are what I'd expect a sequel to bring to the table... It's ...

Yes! * Well-polished * Smoothly animated * Controls feel good * Can be played as a twin-stick shooter or survivors auto-fire * All the characters have personality * The weapons are fun and varied and most all of them feel pretty satisfying. But: * Could use more mission variety. * Can be difficult to get a feeling for enemy types as everything is pretty hectic and they all die quickly. * May need difficulty tuned. I was able to beat the "final" boss on my second run. Health loss is permanent, but your shield is pretty spongy, so you have to kind of try! * Some bosses don't seem to have much of a gimmick. * "Friendly" villages are kind of weird. A handful of merchants selling the same stuff? * The "level up" UI is kind of confusing * "Classes" could feel more unique; any class can use most of the gear Unknown: * Don't know how good the metaprogression and unlocks are yet. All that said, this game deserves more attention.
