The visuals are stunning, the music is amazing, the narrative is enjoyable, the cast of characters is out of this world. Overall a great experience if you are into walking sim narrative driven games. The puzzles are a bit too simple for my liking, but overall the game has enough structure to keep you entertained for the whole playthrough.

The Midnight Walk is a wonderful artistic masterpiece that hits you deep on an emotional level. It doesn't matter that the game follows a linear story-line with standard mechanics, because the artistry of the visuals, the voice acting and soundtrack completely immerse you in the dark fantasy/horror narrative.
absolutely incredible. this game is true art and i wish i had the honor of working on it. this world building and the amazing soundtrack that carries it so emotionally is incredible. this is the type of game that makes you question if your life goal is so make something AAA or indie. very tim burton. very sweet, and sad. and powerful. many small impactful stories throughout, and some unexpected details come back to bite you in the end. one of the best game soundtracks i've experienced. a very strong contender for game of the year for me. best experienced in the bigscreen beyond. this game feels like it was made for this micro OLED headset with it's dark yet vibrant environments and contrasting visuals. now for the VR technical failings: - lacking in good VR Gameplay - they fell into the age-old trap of using default particles, which mirror with your head with roll, pitch, and yaw. immersion breaking. - there were a few shader issues that only occurred in one eye in the final c...

This game is criminally underappreciated. The price is arguably a little high, but it makes sense considering the effort put into something as visually unique as this.
The darkness is not an enemy but a space to mourn. Maybe I realised a little late but besides being a beautiful cinematic, this game appears a take on loss and mourning. Relatively early in the game you encounter and are accompanied by your little flame/ potboy who helps you along the midnight walk as you help one another. He aids you with lighting the fires on the quest to bring back the fire of the sun which had long since gone, and you act as his friend and protector. Travelling through the stories you see various tales of character losses’ and how they are in response. An example being the Molgrim, who had been a vicious enemy, was victim to towns people and lost a family member. Later in the game as well when travelling with potboy, [spoiler] he accidentally sets alight housy, who like potboy I also got attached to, and in his grief loses his flame and his head is cut in half as a result. You manage to bring him back to life due to the darkness, yet he is still angry and on...
I finished this game completely, months ago and I still think about coming back just to look at it. This truly is a beautiful game. The narrative is fantastic and Potboy is the cutest little creature I've ever seen. I really am excited to see where this game goes and I hope more people get to experience this wonderful game. It really is a game that explains how light and dark can be breathtaking beautiful. To begin, the art style is beautiful. It's not everyday you see a Claymation game that looks this gorgeous. The sound track is incredible is well. I occasionally still listen to it in the car on my way to and from work. The story on the other hand is incredible. The slow pace of learning how we fit into this dangerous world is told in such a way, I can't help but feel like I'm actually in the game. Each character has a story and I hope that someday there could be a second game, perhaps a prequel, that goes more in depth of how the world functions and why everything is the way it is....
It's your turn to walk your walk, Burnt One. You must try it. Do it for Potboy. The soothsayers have spoken. AUGH I lovelovelove everything about this game, I think it'll have a long lasting impact on me. I adore all things creepy-cute and this was no exception! I really feel like I fit right in with the atmosphere of the story. Without spoiling anything, whenever I learned fear, I also learned to love. Those monsters that make their first appearance in chapter 4? I love em for the same reason I 'hate' em. It's actually impossible to genuinely hate anything in this game, all the lil collectibles and characters you meet along the way humble you, and the Dark Itself resonated with me in the sense that I'm someone who finds and actively seeks comfort from the darkness. I especially love all the personalities the characters have, including monsters, the monsters are also very friend-shaped even if they sometimes terrified me. I'm gonna miss being called a limb tree, and purposefully mes...
