About This Game

Your fleet was betrayed and your airship barely escaped destruction. Now fight your way past waves of pirates, cultists, and sky monsters. Destroy your foes, harvest wreckage, upgrade your ship, and find your way to safety.

A Menagerie of Monsters

Engage enemies with different attack patterns and abilities. Fight massive boss monsters that require cunning and firepower to defeat.

An Array of Airships

Pick the slow but powerful Battleship, the nimble Copter, or the Science Vessel with its railgun and energy shield. Build a strategy around their strengths and weaknesses. Don't feel the need to ever stop? The Megaplane will suit you. Want to build a mighty fleet? Start with the Flagship.

Path Planning

Choose where your fleet goes on its journey. Different destinations have pros and cons in terms of what enemies you fight, the rewards you get, the available upgrades, and your relationships with local factions. For example, you can befriend cultists, gaining their Worm Blessings and their aid in future battles.

A Panoply of Powerups

Equip your ship with cannons, rockets, aerial torpedoes, mines, gatling guns, and more. Strengthen it with modules like ammo elevators, guard barracks, command posts. Host strange temples.

Improve your ship with training for your crew, more armor plating, or senior officers. Pick a doctrine to gain its advantages: terrify your enemies, dodge incoming attacks, make your money through trade. Find powerful combinations that lay waste to your enemies.

Charismatic Captains

Unlock captains for your ship that give you powerful advantages and disadvantages and change the rules of your game.

Strange Stelae

Temples and monoliths as well as more familiar ports float in the skies, changing the game rules in parts of the map. Disadvantage your enemies and boost your abilities with careful positioning.

Fun, easy to pick up and play, ideal Steam Deck game! One of those lucky find games during a Steam 4x sale, Airships Conquer the Skies looked different and I picked up Lost Flotilla with it for a decent discount. So far I've played more of this though both games are well worth the price. The variety in airships adds replayability, the enemies are diverse, there is plenty of player choice in each run, great unlock system based on victories, the escort ships and ship captains add a more possibilities. It's kept me coming back to try different approaches. The 3 level overall difficulty settings and the in run choices keep the game challenging and fair. I enjoyed Vampire Survivors but I prefer the Airships setting here even more. An unexpected little gem of a game.

Fun gameplay, Progression system is unique, the research system is nice if you are unable to do the task. modding support is robust as expected for the developer, unfortunately most of the mods currently are just commander mods with a shitty AI generated portrait. little mods of the other types that arn't just memes

A steampunk twist on the bullet heaven game, A:LF is an addictive little time-waster with lots of fun baked in. It also ties into the dev's other game, Airships: Conquer the Skies, which is a fun game in its own right. If you enjoy bullet heaven, airships, or the thought of giant flying crabs, I strongly suggest that you play this game.

Much more in depth Vampire Survivors/Brotato type game. Lots more options for what build you choose

Gameplay is close to Vampire Survivors, but differentiated because of plane-style movement and tighter restrictions on equipment. Also, the sheer variety of enemies, weapons and other equipment, plus the FTL-style progression, makes it interesting even after repeated playthroughs.

A relatively simple game set in the same world as Airships: Conquer the Skies (which is also a great game). Lost Flotilla is a more action-based game with a lot of content for the asking price and some interesting lore and puzzles for those interested in delving their secrets. Honestly, I picked this up to support the developer since I really respected his timely updates and dedication to Conquer the Skies and it much exceeded my expectations.

I was surprised by this game, didn't really expect much but its fun and its simplicity makes it quick to understand and makes it a great game to just chill with. its variety of ships, escorts, and guns make for a good variety of builds as well. Give it a shot, i don't think you'll be disappointed.
