Necroking

Not sure why people are giving this a bad review. I see people with three hours giving it a thumbs down and saying they beat the game and that it's boring... They're idiots. Eleven hours in and I feel like I haven't seen about half the game yet. It's a strategy game that, honestly, rewards patience too much. If you are patient and don't do anything foolish, it's a good game. Just like any other good game, it can be challenging or quite easy depending on how you play. It definitely needs some work, but overall I'd say it is a good game.

A fun game to play when bored

Games pretty cheese2win with a painfully slow start each run. It has the foundations of a good game for sure, I think it just needs a bit more of a push at a bit of a core level, on the numbers... something.

After a while I got bored. I pushed myself to keep playing, and got very bored. I eventually stopped, as I couldn't force myself to start up the game and keep playing. You are an undead lich on a quest to destroy an evil king. Each time you kill the king you get brought to a new level with a harder mini-boss to defeat each time to open the castle gates. The battle system is pretty easy to understand, and then break. Go around fighting tons of low level battles, upgrade your starting cards, total mana, and starting mana with money that you loot, and start each fight by throwing down 4+ cards; you can draw and play even more with more mana. The only thing stopping you from flooding the battlefield completely is the number of souls you have. You can get more of these by killing weak willed enemy units, or by using soul stealing units. Throw in a bunch of spear-men, some horsemen, some soul stealers, some card drawing scythe guys, and a vampire or two, and you will never lose. This is esp...

So this is really a maybe. I liked the art style and music and the core gameplay. It didn't really seem to have any persistent elements that would encourage me to play over and over so after 3 games I decided to uninstall. It was very cheap so I think I got a good 3 hours from it but that is it.
